Met expectations
Wanted to wait a couple of weeks before reviewing to make sure product performed up to expectations and it does. The only problem I had was initializing the password which turned out to be my fault. I had purchased a iStorage 1TG level 2 before through Amazon: it worked so well I decided to buy this one. The password initializing is different. There are more steps with the level3 iStorage. To make a long story short make sure to follow the quick start guide for setting up a password step by step because the level 2 and level 3 have different steps. I found this out the hard way and had to ask for a refund because I could not get into the level 3 iStorage. Within a week Amazon sent me another level 3iStorage and I was able to input the password correctly. Note this review will self destruct in 30 seconds so make sure to copy and paste to iStorage.

It works a bit too well
This hard drive is literally a storage vault. Your information is safe with it, in the sense that no unauthorized person can access it. However, almost anyone can destroy the information on the inside by applying the reset pattern or entering wrong combos multiple times. It's NOT a good drive to keep the information that you do NOT want to lose, like the last copy of your treasure map.By the way, make sure you have a good memory since it requires long passkeys, and there are just way too many intricate patterns to perform difference settings. If you're in a hurry or having a nervous breakdown, chances are you won't be able to unlock it.

Terrible.
Putting in passcodes are hit and miss. I follow directions per instructions and it keeps locking me out. Had to reset and reformat.Stay away from this.

Annoying feature
I bought the iStorage diskAshur PRO2 HDD 2TB for its Level 3 encryption feature. Unfortunately, It keeps automatically backing up my docs to another file that I don't have access to. Their Support doesn't know what it is and said my Word doc was the problem (???). They then instructed me to do a hard reset but the problem is still there. Also, THAT ATTACHED CABLE IS ANNOYING AND LIMITING and I now realize that if the cable breaks, then this expensive storage unit is basically useless.

Slow transfer and terrible data integrity
I’ve twice had to run third party disk diagnostics now for corrupted sectors on this drive. It’s brand new and corrupted on the first backup and then again on the second attempt after running the recovery.Not impressed.
