Amazing fitness watch... leaves behind the gimmicks and delivers what's most important.
This watch is perfect for those that are interested in a watch that works well, but maybe doesn't deliver the gimmicks that the other major players may include. Benefits: - GPS is spot on. I did a 24mile rim2rim grand canyon hike. My watch read 23.9 miles at the end. Make sure to verify "GPS+GLONASS" setting is selected. - Battery life is without compare. I charge about once a week (takes about an hour). This means you can sleep with the watch on every night. - Displays during activities are highly configurable and work great. - Ability to auto-lap at the 1-mile mark for activities - Intelligent training advice and tracking based on v02 and aerobic/anaerobic activities - Daily summary and info via the Connect app is intuitive and informative without pandering Be aware: - Can be time consuming to configure everything the way you want - Default watch faces are basic. Downloadable ones are amazing (I'm currently using the 'crystal' face) - No touch screen. I feel this is a positive. I don't want a tiny touch screen getting accidentally hit more than actually used. Draw backs: - Screen is not super bright when compared to other watches.... as a result, the battery lasts forever. I have never had an issue seeing the watch in the sun. - Reading text messages and phone 'stuff' isn't great. however, this is why I have a phone... - Map stuff is kind of worthless... I use my phone if I need to look at a map. I suggest this watch for individuals that are serious about recording activity. If you're looking for a decorative status symbol, maybe consider the alternative... for me, I have since purchased Fenix watches for the rest of my family.

Amazing
I started with a Fitbit Charge 4 that I used for a while and then moved to an Amazfit T-Rex Pro. The Amazfit was really nice, but it would not control music and a workout at the same time. It was a decent watch, but I needed a more serious smart watch and I am not a fan of the Apple Watch. I settled on the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro for the size, battery life and ability to load Spotify playlists directly on the watch. I have to say that after only a few days, I am blown away. This watch does everything I need and does it well. The GPS locks the fastest of any watch that I have had and I have had a lot of running specific GPS watches. The music (Spotify) from the watch is great and pairs easily with my bluetooth earbuds. The thing that blows me away is the amount of data that it collects and how the app itself is put together. It is very customizable and is excellent for running, hiking, workouts, etc. The watch actually motivates me to work out more and improve my health. Outstanding watch for anyone that wants to track their performance. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** I rely on reviews when I make purchases so I put a lot of time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal and my business. Absolutely love this watch. Over 4 years now and it’s perfect.
Best watch I have ever owned. I have had it for over 4 years now and it keeps on going. Battery life is amazing and last for about 21 days. I will always wear these watches from here on out.

High Quality
My Fenix 6X Pro is 4 years old now and I don't see a compelling reason to upgrade right now. It is mainly used for exercise tracking (running/walking) and serves me well as a casual beater. The battery still shows 22 days on a full charge, and it seems like it does last. The original strap was accidentally damaged while working outside but it held up well while it lasted. No worries, replacement straps were easy to find.

Good watch for everyday use.
I needed a watch that I could see who was calling, or texting me while wearing gloves covered in bodily fluids and not wanting to grab my phone while bouncing down the road in the back of an ambulance, and I managed to get this watch a couple of years ago on sale on Amazon. The Fenix watches are part of the Garmin "ecosystem" so my inReach and other products use similar looking interfaces or apps that I am familiar with. The watch has held up EXTREMELY well. I amnhard on electronic devices. This watch has a single scratch in the Gorilla glass from a jagged piece of aluminum on an oxygen tank rack. I have had to replace the watchband from it wearing out of the holes that I use everyday. I went with a Garmin replacement band instead of a cheaper knock-off option. Not sure I'd buy a non-knockoff again. I love that there are so many screen options. I use an analog screen with a second hand for timing purposes at work. (Counting respiration or heartbeats) Through the Garmin Connect apps there are seemingly unlimited watch faces to choose from. I do not use every single feature, but I do use the timers and even the built-in GPS when at the gym or doing timed hikes and runs to stay in shape. Some of the notification settings I have a hard time with between my phone and the app settings and the watch settings, but I think that's a user error problem. I do not use the music app, although I want to try that next. All in all, I highly recommend a Garmin smartwatch. It has been tough, and I will replace this one with another Garmin if it ever stops working. 3 and a half years of daily wear on this one so far.

Awesome Fitness watch
If you're looking for a true fitness watch, this is it. I thought smart watches were good at tracking fitness, until I met the Fenix. I got tired of the 2 day battery life, terrible sync issues, random alerts, bad step tracking etc. I ended up biting the bullet and and paying a hefty price for the fenix 6 pro, and i've not been sorry for 1 second. On average i get 3 weeks of battery life, HUGE win in my book. For cardio, biking, running, walking etc the fitness tracking works great GPS reception is fantastic. However i also do a lot of weight lifting, and that part sucks... but to be fair no one has this figured out yet. Garmin does have a build your own workout section, and the fenix does a decent job of tracking reps, as long as there's a significant amount of movement. However, you're constantly pushing buttons and adjusting rep count, rest etc. it's just too clunky while at the gym. This watch also keeps me honest on my fitness activities. My previous smart watches would track steps at the slightest wrist movement. for example if i went out in my rzr i'd end up with 20k steps, just from riding around, and i certainly didn't drink that much beer... The Fenix does a much better job of tracking actual physical movement. The watch is big, so if you have smaller wrists, the 6x may be a better option as the pro is taller due to the larger battery. I find the watch pretty comfortable, and i do sleep with mine on, which rarely bothers me. Yes i'm a stomach/side sleeper so my head is usually laying on my arms, and still have very little issues with it. The smart alerts and sync with my phone has been perfect. my watch will often buzz before my phone does on text alerts. I've used several samsung, iwatches, and fitbits. They all fall down compared to Garmin.

Great Watch
I am coming over from an Apple Watch. I love this watch and am really happy with the battery life. I don’t wear it at night so I’m getting more than the 21 days battery life that is listed. The only complaint I have is the weather information isn’t updated very regularly. The Apple Watch was better at that. This is a large watch but not too large. It’s comfortable to wear and for the most part, I don’t even notice it’s on my wrist. The menu isn’t very intuitive. Garmin could work on that and make it a little easier. I downloaded a workout on the watch and have a difficult time finding it after it’s downloaded. I know the watch Geeks will probably say, “Oh it’s easy to find, you just . . . “; however, Garmin would benefit from designing it so that those of us who aren’t watch Geeks could find things a little easier. Overall, I love the watch and am still trying to learn all it will do.

Everything except heart rate monitor is awesome
This watch performs above expectations in every way with the exception of the heart rate monitor. If you select “workout” the watch anticipates that your heart rate will be higher and measures somewhat accurately. However, if you’re just walking around and have a sudden sprint/event that raises your heart rate the watch does not accurately measure it. For example, I had to suddenly sprint while walking normally for a period of about 30 seconds and the watch measured my heart rate at somewhere in the 90’s while in reality it was well over 150. Other than that, I am very impressed with the watch and it’s capabilities. Especially battery life. On a full charge I average 22 days.
