Quality German steel
Very fine tooth on this steel, but it aligns the knife edge well. I expect this steel to outlast me. Highly recommended

This is not a round steel
I didn’t know it was a flat steel Ive always used FDick round so I’m kinda disappointed

This is quite a fine steel (as in smooth), so would be recommened with knives that are harder steel themselves. Using it to touch up the blade edge. Using on a soft steel knife I found the knife got blunt almost straight away (A rougher steel would be better for a soft steel knife), this was not the steels fault, so would recommend harder steel knives (more carbon content). Its a good build quality and a nice size, it comes in a plastic sheath, stating that it was saphire cut.. The pictures don't show how oval it is, I mean sort of fat and elongated, this makes sense but didn't expect it to be based on the picture shown. A nice steel to have, just a bit pricey even when its half price!
