An ideal lens for the traveler
This is a wonderful lens that I purchased from Amazon Warehouse for my sony a6600 and a6000. I have no idea why folks would give this lens anything but a five star rating. See for yourself-check out the many pro reviews of this lens on You Tube-no pro reviewer has given this lens anything but a steller rating! I travel internationally and use zooms all the time since great shots of people, animals, or scenery cannot be reached quickly by walking and if you want to capture the moment a zoom lens allows you many different photos that a prime lens can't get. When I go to soccer games, or any sporting activity, am in nature shooting photos of animals, or in the city shooting close ups of various scenes, a 350mm reach allows for wonderful intimate and clear images. So why is this lens so good? l. It's relatively small size is crucial for travelers, including fairly light weight and a compact size that can fit in a small half-day pack. 2. The fact that it is a Sony lens makes it easy to sync with the A6600's image stabilization and auto focusing sensors. 3. The images produced are of high quality. 4. The lens has a significant reach-over 500mm converted to full frame. Cons-lack of a certain setting results in any object close by, such as a chain link fence (if you are at a zoo and trying to shoot through a fence creating focusing problems with your subject in the distance; 2. The lens is not good in low light settings so is essentially a day lens only. With this lens I feel very complete in terms of what I'll be bringing with my A6600 camera body: Sigma 30mm, Sony 18-135, Sony 70-350, and one wide angle (small lens). This is a very complete kit for shooting wonderful photos and videos.

A great lens!
A great lens! I bought this lens for my Sony A6400 to take pictures of sports events where it's difficult to get close to an intended subject and this lens brought me close to the action! The lens is also great for taking landscape photos or close up pictures of batters hitting a baseball. Super clear pictures, fast auto focus and amazingly light to carry for a large lens.

This is the best APSC lens ever for Sony
If you have a Sony APSC camera and want a zoom this thing is sharp, fast to focus and light. I can carry the camera with lens attatched by neck strap and not to heavy at all. Im 64

On a budget? This lens is all you need!
I was going back and forth on a couple different longer range lenses to pair with my Sony 35mm for my a6000 but ultimately went with this one. Overall it’s a really sharp lens once I got the hang of it especially for the price. Excellent zoom range and if you want a lightweight daily driver and you’re not doing many indoor portraits honestly this is really all you need to get going.

A Superb Quality Lens
I bought the new A6700 Sony camera and bought this lens to go with it. All the praise that this lens gets are more than justified. It is extraordinary. Clean and clear with a beautiful bokeh. I photograph deer that come to visit me with this lens and the photos I get are stunning. Super clarity. Fast auto focus. Nice size and balance for this type of lens. Nice smooth manual zoom as well. Love it!

Good, compact telephoto for travel, but not a choice for Pro quality.
This lens fills a gap in the Sony APS-C lens line up, and it does so more than competently. After several weeks of frequent use, my quandary before my return period expires in January is how badly do I need that gap filled, and whether this money would be better spent against a 200-600 or 100-400 and just using a recent A7R model. Many of my issues are not with the lens, but with Sony’s APS-C bodies. Things I like: Very light for the focal length Compact size fits well with my A6500 and A6000 Very Good sharpness Seems well made Autofocus is reasonably fast Things I don’t like: The A6500/6000 are not well suited to long lenses. You need a grip to hold any extreme tele reasonably steady. The controls on the Sony crop bodies lack a front control wheel, which makes hampers changes during action. The results are quite sharp, but lack the snap of the 100-400 or 200-600 at 18mp APS-C on the A7RIII. The autofocus is more than acceptable, but lacks the speed of its bigger siblings which I have rented. The max opening of F/6.3 is slow for the 350mm length. It is also not dazzling at that FL and aperture. F/8 is the true minimum. No teleconverter is available. No focus limit switch. For birding 350mm is a minimum. Cropping exacerbates issues of sharpness and high ISO from the slow aperture. If I am traveling light, this is a terrific option with the compact bodies. This lens plus the Zeiss 16-70/F4 covers all you are likely to need (maybe adding a little Sigma prime for indoors) and the whole thing fits in a small bag or waist pack. The question is whether one travels light often enough to need this compact kit. In a perfect world for me, Sony would make a compact 300mm/F4 prime and converter like Pentax and Nikon, and their crop bodies would have front control wheels and no AA filters. Life isn’t perfect.

Sharp image with compact size
Purchased the lens for wildlife and aviation photography. For my use case, it’s a great value. Size is compact for the zoom range. Quite sharp for the photos. Would recommend if you need a longer zoom for the Sony APSC system

A great easy to use must have for wildlife.
I bought it several months ago and was waiting until our safari trip to review. It was great on safari, critical to have for wildlife in Africa. It’s a good practical balance for a nonprofessional photographer. I could get shots from the jeep absolutely no one else could get but still zoom in to get closer shots. Focus was great, sometimes I thought it wasn’t focused well but it was my cataract. Lol

Muy bien en todo, si le falta unos pasitos de luz pero entiendo que si no sería más caro y más pesado y grande

As sharp as sharp can be. Sure the max aperture is slower, but what you get in return is a very compact zoom. I walked with my a6400 and that lens attached to my backpack shoulder strap with a clip for half a day on a mountain and the weight or length was not overwhelming. A must if you own a Sony apsc body and want to do some wildlife or landscape photography. The image stabilisation works great, but I haven't tested it extensively; at 350mm, I got sharp results at 1/160 sec. AF is excellent, really no complaints about this lens, except it is hard to leave it out of my camera bag. You never know when Big Foot might show up, better be ready for him.

I migrated from a dslr to a Sony a6000 because the weight of my old kit was taking its toll on my body when I was hiking and exploring the outdoors. One of the lenses I was trying to replace was a 300mm F4 prime which was what I normally used for general wildlife/bird photography in and around the local hiking trails where I live. While the F6.3 aperture at 350mm could be a tradeoff as I've noticed having to bump up the iso quite a bit now (but not too bad because of the optical stabilization). I set and forget the shutter speed to 1/500 when I'm out birding and get quite a few decent shots if it's not too dark out. The sharpness is comparable to my old prime lens and the versatility of the zoom is appreciated although I am using the 350mm about 90% of the time. I am definitely enjoying the much lighter setup of the sony aps-c kit; I can carry this lens mounted on the camera + two small-medium lenses in a 3L camera bag with me and not be 'aching' after a day out hiking.
