This is my second Sony XQD card reader. It works well with Sony XQD SD cards and the Sony CF type G cards. But I mistakenly sold the reader after I bought A Delkin Black CF card & reader for my Nikon Z camera. I did not understand that the Delkin CF card reader would NOT read my Sony CF cards which I kept as backup cards for my Nikon Z camera. So in order to use the Sony CF cards I had to repurchase the Sony CF card reader. I use the Sony cards to backup my Nikon Z settings and download and install Nikon Z camera updates, so the Delkin CF card reader is useless for these tasks. Thankfully, the Sony CF card reader works well and is a reasonable price.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!Regrettably, I chose the most cost-effective option. AND I purchased two of them for uses in different places. Both seemed to work well for a few months, then one started acting up and would "sometimes" work and then not and eventually completely died. AND now the other one now has also totally died. I've learned on some of these "cost-effective" products, like these. I'm going to spend 5 times more and hoping the new (other manufacture} will be better - time will tell... be well.

Easy plug and play

Nothing like getting a new camera and finding you need to buy new style memory cards.. and reader! This unit handles two styles of cards and features two styles of connectors on the computer side! No complaints!!

This is your basic card reader. I like that they added an attached USB-A to USB-C adapter so that it is more universal. The SD card and the XQD pins are opposite, so if you look at the top the SD card inserts with contacts up, while the XQD inserts label up. Speed is good and it downloads either card fast enough for most uses.

I used this with SD cards and XQD cards.No glitches at all and photo transfers were fast.

I've used this reader reliably for the XQD card, but the first time I tried to use with an SD card, it zeroed out all of my images before retrieving & saving them to computer. It is now too late to return this. I also just had to pay $90(!!!) for recovery software to recover my images. I'm so upset. Now I need to buy a new card reader AND SD card for fear it corrupted my 512GB SD card
