Great rear shocks
After 120k miles the OEM Rancho shocks in my 2015 Silverado 1500 Z71 were tired, which led to a lot of bounce on the highway when towing. If I hit a pothole or sharp bump I could feel the back end of the truck bouncing, leading to having to correct with steering to keep the truck straight. I was going to get OEM Rancho replacements but started reading good things about these Bilstein 5100's. As an added bonus, these were cheaper. The install was extremely easy and took me about 30 minutes in total without even jacking up the truck. Now the truck rides much smoother, but slightly stiffer than the stock shocks, with no bounce when towing and no more hopping in the rear on the same potholes and bumps. Very happy with the upgrade.

Easy to Install, Improved Ride, and Great Quality for the Money!
I installed these Bilstein 5100 series shocks on the rear of my 2014 GMC Sierra. My stock Ranchos were in pretty rough shape but honestly, I've never thought that they provided a good ride... haha. These Bilsteins are a quality shock, this is apparent when you pull one out of the box. My belief was confirmed with the first test drive. I've installed matching 5100 coil-overs in the front as well and will write a review on those soon. I have posted a "how-to" video on YT for anyone who may want to see the installation process. Search YT for "How to Replace Rear Shocks on a GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado Replace Rancho W\ Bilstein 5100 Series" and look for a similar image to the one I've posted with this review. If you need new shocks, I would highly recommend these Bilstein 5100. After replacing both front and back shocks with Bilstein 5100s, I'm ready to take my Sierra to Virginia International Raceway!

Worth the money
Quality shock that lives up to all the online reviews. Super easy to install, had both shocks installed on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 in 45 minutes.

Quality ride
My wife bought me this shocks for my 2016 Chevy Silverado and they made my ride quality really good and I recommend them for sure. All the tools you need is 21mm socket or wrench and it should be easy install

Awesome Shocks, high quality and look great
I installed these on my 2015 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 to replace the original Ranchos. Wow, these are so much better! I wish I would have upgraded to these years ago. The installation was simple. Two days before installation and again the day before I sprayed PB blaster on all nuts and bolts and again just before removing the old shocks. No problem at all using a 1/2" rachet and wrench. Total removal of old shocks and installation of new ones took under an hour and I did this on my back without rising the truck.

The BEST for my truck
2014 Chevy Silverado LTZ 4x4 Crew - I added helper springs in the back for better payload, towing, and lift. Also added a 1" spacer under the front struts for 2" front leveling (lift). Tires are Michelin LTX AT2 (one size taller, same width). Alignment. I ran Rough Country N3 rear shocks for about six months. Butt end always felt wonky, jelly-like, and jouncy over bumps. Had 500 lbs payload (dirt) and it got worse. Fed up with it! Contacted Bilstein...told them my issues...and they recommended these shocks. Had them installed "boot down" per their direction. Holy smokes what a difference compared to the CRAP Rough Country N3 shocks. THE GOOD: - Immediate difference is road contact/feel. Truck now feels "corrected" - No more jounce, wonky side-to-side wobble, and bobbing - Smooth as European butter on the road...soaks up the road like a shock should, "sophisticated" is prob the best word - Hit the local railroad tracks (normal route) at speed...she now stays PLANTED and does not jounce and bounce - Have not been off-road with these...so, can't speak about that I added a picture of them installed. The other picture is my truck (the brown SIlverado) parked next to a white Sierra...notice the difference?

Awesome ride quality a bit stiff
Awesome ride quality a bit stiff but that is what I wanted and love the look of the small lift of my truck to level it out! Nice upgrade to my 11 year old shocks that had almost 150k miles on them.

Always great shocks but shop and compare closely the total price you will pay. I over paid.

These are very good shocks. These are on Silverado 5.3L 1500. Absolutely easy to instal. 20 minutes per side, full installation. Very good drivability. These handle large bumps very well. With my OE shocks, since the truck was new, they felt like you’re driving a boat, bouncy, dipping, hopping all over the road. These Bilstein feel like you’re driving a sports car with excellent handling. I strongly recommend these if you enjoy spirited driving with good handling at fraction of the cost having such shocks as FOX.
