Great game, even years after it came out
I ordered this awhile back for like a couple dollars. I had sold all of my original guitar hero games a long time ago after I beat them all, but decided I wanted to play them again. This game was a steal. It's still just as fun the second time around, and my whole family enjoys playing it. It has lots of great songs and levels that are perfect for everyone from beginners to experts! A must buy for anyone feeling nostalgic. I wish they didn't stop making these games.

Hella Fun!
Purchased this game after completing WoR. I actually prefer this over WoR due to it's nostalgic guitar hero feel. The UI felt a lot more inviting then the bland and cold hearted one used in WoR. The music library was extremely diverse ranging from Michael Jackson to Korn. The difficulty levels feel alot more forgiving than the hardened ones on WoR. The only downside to this game is that the GH Mix/Multiplayer servers seem to be almost dead.

It didn't work. We have two Xbox 360s and ...
It didn't work. We have two Xbox 360s and it didn't work in either. I'm so livid because I ordered this game from EBay last month and it didn't work either. Now, this one from Amazon says "put game in XBox 360"... but it is in one. The disk seems severely scratched because it makes loud sounds when trying to read the disk.

singing, guitar and drums what else can you ask for!!
great game is so much fun. Game contains many hit classics from Jimi Hendrix, nirvana, smashing pumpkins. The game allows up to four players to play simultaneously. It gives players the chance to sing, play guitar, bass or drums. Overall very fun game to play with your friends( gamers or none gamer)

Surpassed my needs
I will be completely honest, I bought this game solely because it was the only game in the Guitar Hero or Rock Band series to feature the artist Tool, and not simply one song, but three. Being the massive Tool fan that I am, as well as an adamant Rock Band enthusiast, I had to purchase it. The game was extraordinarily cheap, though all of the previous editions of series are, but with a price tag of 4$ I couldn't say no. I was actually very impressed not only with the set list the game featured, but with the overall feel. The game boasts a playability and art design that is very attractive and lacking in the Rock Band series, reminiscent of guitar hero, while remaining contemporary and fairly easy to navigate. While the game remains very linear, it is not monotonous as Rock Band sometimes becomes. Guitar battles and encores as well as a myriad of rock icon cameos will keep you entertained between spectacular rock anthems. If you enjoyed Rock Band, but disliked the indie and emo influences and seeming lack of personality guitar hero provided, this is the game for you.

One of the best play list of the Guitar Hero series
To be honest, I purchased this version of Guitar Hero for its playlist. Many of the current or past versions play about the same so it really comes down to what songs you like to play. The Guitar Hero controller? Well that is opening up a huge can of worms. There are countless opinions as to what Guitar Hero controllers is the best. Many have their pro and cons, but I will say for the average player ( Beginner,Easy or Medium difficulty) the X-plorer guitar controller by Activision is one of the most reliable.
