Pie Iron Creations (Delicious Fireside Cooking)

This book has some really great ideas for pie irons. I love the full color picture of each recipe. I was hoping for some actual pie iron cooking tips, but this was all about putting the food in the pie iron and not how to actually cook it. I had never used a pie iron before and the idea is quite simple. So after a little bit of trial and error we made some great meals.

This is not a cookbook. The book offers a list of ingredients but no specifics. The book simply tells you to put all the suggested ingredients into the pie iron and then watch it until browned or set. For a newbie with a pie iron, I expected much more. I'm really no better off than when I bought the book.

If you're new to camping I suppose this would be a great book to get you started. We got a couple of new ideas out of it. Most of what's in there requires you to have canned biscuits or other already prepared food to start with. Pretty simple cooking ideas we already knew about and most of what we make is made from scratch. If you already know about cast iron cooking you probably won't be impressed with this book. If you're new to camping you'll love it!

I am new to pie-iron cooking and was looking for a recipe book to get my feet wet. This book fit the bill perfectly. This is a high quality book with beautiful photos and easy-to-follow recipes. I realize there are hundreds of recipes on the internet, but it's really nice to have a bound physical book that I can take along on a camping trip. The small size of this book is perfect for that. I look forward to trying all the tasty-looking recipes.

The perfect Christmas gift for someone that enjoys camping or just a simple fire in the back yard with friends. The Pie Iron Creations book has so many delicious recipes that you wouldn't have been able to come up with on your own. Love the pictures that go along with each recipe. I will be purchasing more of these.

I just received this book today, even thou I have'nt yet made any of the meals... I did read the whole book. I'm glad I purchased this book, for it has many ideas that I'm sure will be cooked while camping. I feel this is a great addition to anyones collection.

Love me some pie iron grub and this one has lots of simple, yet tasty recipes. Durable construction and you can fold the pages backwards if you like or open it up flat and it stays open.

I don't camp, but I cook for one. I have a pie iron and needed some new recipes. This book has a lot of yummy looking recipes that I can't wait to try.
