Aileen Violin Hard Case 4/4 Full Size Luxury with Hygrometer Suspension…

I received this three days ago and I am liking this case a lot. It is really beautiful. The material outside and inside is of good quality. I am glad that there are no zippers to worry about. Easy to open and close. It is very compact and therefore has only one small compartment to keep your rosin and tuner. Like others have mentioned, the shoulder rest will have to be held in place by velcro inside the lid portion. Not all shoulder rests will fit this case. That is the only problem with this case that I see but if you use a Kun shoulder rest you should be fine. 5 stars from me for this case so far. No scratches of any sort anywhere. I will update this review after 25 days. I will be getting two shoulder rests - a Bon Musica and a Kun, so I will update this review based on that.

Nice product. My daughter got it as a Christmas present and has been using it ever since. It's durable and lightweight. Sleek looking. It fits the instrument, bow and shoulder rest with room for rosin. So far no scratches and the case is used by a 6th grader in regular orchestra, honors orchestra and private lessons.

When I got this case, I was so excited. However, I became disappointed soon after. Pro: 1. The velvet interior looks really nice. 2. The case is very sturdy. Cons: 1. There is no space for the shoulder rest. I tried to fit it around my violin, it couldn’t fit anywhere in this case. (There was a compartment to put accessories, but it’s too big for the rosin and too small for the shoulder rest) 2. One of the buckles for securing the bow is loose. I’m afraid it cannot secure my bow. 3. When I tried to close the case, I noticed my violin was pushing the bow and the hair. The bow was literally bending. That’s not good for the bow and the strings at all.

This is a great compact case for the price. I’m gettting ready to travel in Ireland with the fiddle and needed a handy but rugged, lightweight case. This is definitely it. Maybe a lock would be nice? But I’ve never locked a case before anyway and any case lock would be easily broken, so not important. There is just enough storage in the small compartment inside. No room for sheet music, not an issue for me. If I’m going to a gig where I do need music, I’ll sport a bag of some sort. I’m really happy with it, expect to have it for 10 yrs at least.

I love the small size and attractiveness of this case. It has some heft still to it so it feels sturdy, with a handle that looks like it was built to last. The two latches take some getting used to - it's not super easy to open and close them at the same time with your two hands. Violin fits very snug, so I have to insert mine flat directly from above to fit in place rather than just putting one end in first. I've been able to place my shoulder rest upside down under the neck of the violin by spinning the feet a little and will put in some bubble wrap to protect the violin from it. The velcro that might have been designed to hold the shoulder rest is useless. Definitely need to air out this case as it stinks at first. You really can only fit one bow. The second bow would crush into your violin when closing it, so I just went ahead and easily removed the second bow holder with a phillips screwdriver since it was in the way anyway and made it difficult to use the first bow holder. I'm concerned that my bow might get scraped over time from the bow holding mechanism but only time will tell. I like that it comes with a cloth cover for the violin and that the accessories compartment does not have any zippers that could break. I'm happy so far! We'll see how well it lasts.

Lightweight, just the size for the basics, big pocket compartment. Stylish. The purple one is very pretty! I picked it over the plain colors.

My 6th grader is extraordinarily rough on her instrument as she can be clumsy and absentminded. So when her father gave her his hand-me-down violin without an adequate case, I had to find something that was practically military grade. And this case is perfect. Her instrument has survived being banged around walls, the school bus, and falling down the stairs. And the case is such a pretty color! She can always immediately pick out her instrument among her friends' plain black cases in the orchestra room. We are very happy.

My violin did not fit. It is a full 4/4 violin that is slightly unique to the standard Strad violin, but it fits in all other cases I've used. The lid was resting on the bridge on would not close unless I were to push it shut (which I did not want to do). The case is pretty inside and out, but has no room for a shoulder rest, even a small one. There was also a chemical smell that I'm sure would dissipate over time, but it was noticeable and strong, and lingered in the room for a while after opening it. It was stronger inside of the case. I will continue searching for a different case.

There seem to be a few range of Aileen violin case. Amazon did not specify the interior colour except for the image. Will be good to state clearly as there was an earlier version of white case with green interior whereas our preference was navy as per image. Due to time constraint, we took risk in ordering and was pleased to receive the navy interior case. Also during ordering process, there was no provision to add comments. Overall, we are happy with the white Aileen violin case, aesthetically pleasing and a good product.

Estuve y estuve buscando opciones de estuches ya que los de tela no duran mucho, con el tiempo la tela se rasga, las correas de se deshilan y son muy pesados. Pero vi un video en YouTube donde mencionaban este estuche en específico y me anime y la verdad esta precioso, no es tan pesado como un rectangular de tela, protege mejor... lo único pues malo es que pierdes la bolsita para guardar partituras o demás. Pero se entiende por el material.
