ChiaoGoo Twist Short Combo, 2" & 3" (5 & 8 cm) [M], US 1 (2.25 mm)

So good! I love these so much. Chiaogoo is my go to needle and these are great for a small lace project I was working on. The metal cables cannot be beat compared to plastic. I bought a longer mini cable to start out an in the round project in magic loop, then when its large enough, you swap in one of the shorter cables and just knit it'll the round. I hate dpns, especially for lace, so these are worth the investment. I was even able to fit these into my Chiaogoo interchangeable case easily, so I have all my needles together. Will get more sizes as needed.

These are absolutely perfect for socks! They go together perfectly without any ridges or gaps between the cord and needle join, the cords are perfectly pliable without being too floppy and the little ‘keys’ help make sure your cord is tight/or helps get them apart. I’m definitely going to grab some more in other sizes for slippers, mittens, and sleeves since they seem so much more convenient than DPN’s and i don’t like magic loop. My only tiny complaint is that i’ve got to stop myself from pushing the tip as i knit because they are a bit pointy/sharp and i don’t want to keep poking myself-lol! Love that this comes with the 2” & 3” and you can mix and match the lengths even for whatever you may need, and having the second needle ‘set’ is nice for turning a heel instead of having to spend more for another set or holder. Made my colorwork sock an absolute breeze and a pleasure instead of a pain.

I have been struggling with double pointed needles when I make socks for years then I ran into a pattern that called for a short circular needle. I had never seen one so I checked on Amazon, found these and thought I would give them a try. They are a little different to get used to, but once your hands adapt to them they are amazing. I got the US size 1 tips, but I am going to get tips in more sizes as soon as I can. Socks work up much more quickly than on double points and you don't drop stitches. These little needles are worth a lot more than what they charge for them.

Great knitting needles

I love that I could buy the size I needed for socks, without having to buy other needles that I would rarely use. I do have trouble tightening these enough to stay and I have to check them every so often since the circumference of the sock means I’m loosening them often.

Chiaogoo knitting needles are such high quality! I decided to try the 9” needles for socks and they are a game changer! There is a learning curve and great idea that one needle is longer than the other! Tried another brand with both needles only 2” but that didn’t work. These have a 2” and a 3” needle. That changes everything. No cramping fingers and more control of the knitting!

I've always used Chiagoo needles in magic loop for making socks but I LOOOOVE these 9" circulars for color work socks! They make sure my floats are well space. I use one of the the 3" needles in my dominant hand and then the 2" needle in my nondominant hand and it works super well! I honestly think if using these needles cramp your hand trying the 3" with 2" needle combination may help a lot. It also did take me a sock or two to get used to since I was so used to having a lot more needle to hold on to.

Absolutely excellent needle set for socks and other small circumference knitting in the round. The transition between the cable and needle is so smooth, I very much enjoyed working with this needle. I also bought a longer mini sized cable so I can use magic loop when needed and I will definitely be purchasing more tips in other sizes as needed.

These needles are perfect for my sock knitting, though it does take a little practice to get the grip and tension on such small needles.

If the description of these was more informative, I wouldn't have ordered them. The cables are even shorter than you'd guess they are from the pics and whilst they're perfect for socks, I wanted them for cuffs so they had to go back. Better descriptions please, Amazon!
