Exact match for a filter replacement housing on my RO system. Good build and quality.

One of the housing components from my five-stage RO system was leaking. I only required the bottom housing that houses the filter, but the thread pitch was not identical to the older part, leaving me with no choice but to replace the entire housing unit. Fortunately, I have two different housing wrenches, which enabled me to successfully tighten the housing. Once connected, there were no more leaks, and my RO system was operational once again. Will order again.

My cheap portable RO system worked just Ok and I was looking for a way to improve it. The 2 original filters: a sediment and a carbon filter, are both rated at 5 microns. So I planed to add a very fine 1 micron full size filter and this housing fits the bill. I was just not sure "what size" fittings to use for the inlet and outlet( wish they specified). 1/4" male threads? 3/8"?Note: the reason why I have to edit my review is that my pictures are not arranged in order( even the ones showing in the bottom of review and the ones in "customer pictures" are arranged differently).Let us go with the ones on the bottom of my review.As I was still looking for an answer, I saw there were replacement carbon filters available with "built-in" fittings( That's the filter on the very right. Picture 2 shows the built-in fitting)! A thought came to my mind: I could probably use the fittings that were on the original filter! And YES they went on the new housing perfectly( picture 4 shows the fittings I removed from the original carbon filter went on the new filter housing perfectly)! No leaks.So this ended up an easy and inexpensive project( 1 micron 10 inch filter about $2 each; carbon filter about $6 at ebay). When it's time to replace the original sediment filter I'll just use another carbon filter, since now I have a great sediment filter, and save the 2 fittings for future use.

I like that it is the perfect fit, as advertised. Also, comes with both the bottom and top. I only needed the bottom since my cracked and started leaking. I now also have a spare top in case any of those develop any problems. Great price. Love the Amazon quick delivery.

Looks and fits just like the original filter house and cap for the Apec Essence RO system. My old housing had a slight leak even with new o-rings. This one came with a lubed o-ring already and works perfect. Not sure if I torqued the one one too much and stressed the cap too much. You really don't need to screw them on too tight.The old fittings fit perfect in it as well.
