Best Driveway Alarm out there!
I've had my Dakota Alert Driveway Alarm for 5 years now so it's time to write a review. I live out in the country and like to know when someone is heading to the house. I tried the one that detects motion and the deer kept setting it off all night. This one works when it detects the metal in a vehicle, It transmits to the alarm over a half a mile and I've only had to change the batteries once! Bought one this year for my mom and dad for Christmas!

Works perfectly. Buy once, cry once.
Easy to set up and it works great! I mounted the box on a fence and it easily reached the receiver. I turned the sensitivity all the way down for install, but I ended up leaving it there because it was honestly perfect for being buried under the road. I would imagine you would need to turn the sensitivity up if it were along side the road, but for me it was just as easy to bury it in the middle. I have not had a single false alarm. I would highly recommend this product.

Works as advertised. Digging the ditch to install was physically demanding.
I have used this for a few weeks now and it works perfectly. No false alarms by animals or wind, like the others we have used. It even picks up motorcycles. Pros- Works great. Easy to set up. Cons- I had to dig a 30 foot ditch in my location to mount it on a tree. The roots are a real pain. Thought it was a little expensive for a driveway alarm but if it continues to work trouble free it will be well worth it.

PENDING, BUT MAY BE EXCELLENT.
EXPENSIVE. IT WORKS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER I'VE HAD. THERE IS AN ADJUSTMENT KNOB WHICH NEEDS TO FIND THE EXACT POSITION TO IDENTIFY CARS YET NOT ALLOW FALSE ALARMS. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK, AND I MAY HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT SETTING.

The best.
I've tried three different driveway alarms, and this Dakota Alert system is, without a doubt, the superior system. My gravel drive is almost a quarter mile long, and I have the transmitter placed about halfway. I am in the North Carolina mountains in a heavily forested area, and the device works great.

No more surprise visits!
Works great. Installed in suboptimum conditions and still had success. Can hear those deliveries entering over 1000 ft away now. 800 number to a live person who knew the system and solved my pairing issue in 2 minutes.

Great wireless driveway vehicle alarm
I've installed these at three houses now. Works to let you know when a vehicle is coming up a long driveway.

GREAT PRODUCT
The Dakota Alert system with the vehicle detecting probe is a great product. I live in a rural area with a 300 yard driveway. I originally tried the motion sensor but got tired of the alerts caused by animals, birds or bugs passing in front of the sensor. The probe eliminated that problem and only alerts when a vehicle passes.
