Yale B-BSDL-2.5-PB British Standard 5 Lever Mortice Deadlock, Boxed, Suitable for External Doors, Brass Finish, 2.5 Inch/64 mm

This appeared to be a very good quality lock although I had a few problems fitting it. When I finally managed to get it installed I realised I'd bought a lock for an external door by mistake which accounted for the fact that it seemed a bit on the large side. Obviously not a professional! Anyway, it was a very nice lock and it looked good once I'd fitted it so I'd recommend it on that basis and not on the fact that I am obviously an idiot.

A great lock, smooth and clunk free. Used to replace similar. Was great to have all the dimensions of the lock clearly shown so that my choice could be made without error.

I thought this would be reliable but it isn't.I am a carpenter and I have fitted many many doors and many many mortice locks, I have never had a mortice lock completely fail after only three months.The keys supplied with this lock no longer open it, no jiggling them about or anything else will get this lock to open.It's going to be expensive to remove this lock and replace it with something more reliable.It's a costly error I won't make again.

This is by far one of the best locks around in my opinion, when accompanied with a Kickstop Lockguard.

This 5 leaver mortice deadlock appears to be very robust and good value for money. Very easy to install with full instructions and templet included. Would recommend.

I am sure if the lock body was included I would have been happy. As it was not I am unhappy!

Does what it says on the product description. I bought this to replace my old lock that was having occasionaly trouble with the key getting stuck in it or the barrel feeling flimsy.This is a great replacement. I had to carve the wood out a little with a drill bit and a knife (didn't need a chisel as the hole needed expanding a few mm on the top and bottom).
