Good fit, keeps the dust out of places it shouldn't be.
My gear lives in my garage which is also a woodshop. While it lives in covered tubs, somehow dust gets there anyways. This keeps the pony bottle nicely plugged between dives.

Great for protecting valve threads
These things are a bit more expensive--OK--a lot more expensive than the simply, soft plastic ones that are usually meant to slip over yoke valves, but they do a great job of protecting the threads. That makes these things cheap insurance for your valves. When your tanks get rolling around the boat deck like mine sometimes do, these caps give me some more peace of mind.

Protect your DIN tank valves.
The delrin plastic is tough. It fits a DIN valve perfectly. I store my tanks in a garage, and it also keeps creepie-crawlies from making a home inside my valves.
