Trimaco Easy Mask Protective Film for Carpets, 2 mil, 24-inch-x 100-feet

We were having people over but just had new carpet installed. I used this to cover the walkways so the carpet would stay nice. It worked great!!! I have a ton left over also so I plan on using it in my car. The adhesive did not stay behind and cause damage to the carpet which is always a worry with sticky things. It was a bit tough to pull up because the plastic kept ripping but that was a minimal thing that really didn’t seem like an issue. It stuck well and held up so I’m happy!

Ok I bought this not for the intended purpose. It is a little awkward to use unless I guess you have the roller. I used it in my car to protect the carpet as I work to cut a hole to get to my fuel pump. As you can see from the photo I'm a little protective of my car. Lol I bought the wrong width to be honest. It does what it implies it will. If you are using it for actual carpet in a house or wherever buy the tool or make one with some pvc. Once it sticks to.itself it sticks! My hope is the rest of the ad is true that as long as I remove it within 30 days there will be no residue! In addition to the carpet tape I used a drop cloth type material I found here on Amazon. this tape is not for anything but carpet I would head that warning in the ad.

This worked great for what we wanted-protecting van carpets from muddy shoes and French fries. It was difficult to work with, but doable with 2 people. I don’t think that’s the products fault tho.. it was difficult because it stuck to itself so I much mainly, and if it didn’t that would mean it’s not sticky enough! Did the entire backseat area and still have lots left.

We used this film on carpeted stairs during a remodel. It worked much better than I expected. Once down it last at least a couple months. Probably would have lasted longer but the job was done. I would definitely use this again.

Purchased this item because I transport my Service Dog. Went to apply it on the vehicle carpet, does not stick at all!! Very disappointed in this product. I tried it on the carpet in the house, sticks way better than it did on vehicle carpet.

I am so glad I bought this before my move. I paid extra to have the carpet replaced (instead of just shampood) before my move-in. Then I hired movers, and couldn't expect them to remove their shoes upon each trip inside, plus the wheels of their dollies had to go through a little part of the parking lot and then through the grass/soil for a portion of their path from the truck to my door...and then across my brand new lovely carpeting. I was paying them by the hour, And on a tight budget, so there was no time to be particular about where they set down the boxes and furniture. The show just had to go on. This product promised that it would be durable, and Also Not damaging to carpet for up to 30 days. I work full time, so I literally set an Alarm to remind myself to remove it by day 29. Which was today. It held strong for all 29 days, and was so easy to remove I almost couldn't believe it because of how strongly it adhered throughout 29 days of walking across it and moving/scooting boxes and furniture to their rightful places! My carpet looks like it was just installed Moments ago. It is still in pristine condition with Zero "high-traffic area" wear & tear. I will Never move again without a few rolls of this on hand. To add: I was running behind, and sweating my a** off on the morning of my move-in, and only had about a half hour to hurry and place this plastic down Before the movers got here with my stuff. I didn't have Anything, because..of course, all my belongings were in the moving truck, so I had to act swiftly and improvise. I used my crappy pocket knife that's attached to my key chain to cut it at the end of each wall. And, it miraculously worked out just well enough to get it done. It was easier than expected to 'install'/apply it. And it did its job, times a million. I don't know if I've ever recommended a product this passionately before. It REALLY is THAT awesome. 10/10

This works very well as a carpet protector. Very easy to put down and sticks well. Easy to pull off when you need to. Protect carpet very well against paint dust and foot traffic. I have found other uses for as well, I use it on my CNC machine to help hold down sheets of MDF with vacuum suction. Works well. You should think about buying a larger size than you think you will need, because it’s easy to underestimate this stuff.

I put this down on new carpeting to protect it from guests coming in and out of my house during a large outdoor party. It protected the carpet very well and held strong. Left it down for about 1 week. It was so hard to get up. It came off in pieces and was VERY time consuming to remove. Some sections would not come up at all and i had to resort to using thin chopsticks to work under it, into the carpet and lift it up. After all this, I have to say that the carpet was not harmed in any way in the end.

Great product, easy to apply!

I work in construction and always use this brand- it holds up well and more importantly stays stuck to the carpet surface throughout the renovation.

bought this for a reason involving dogs and the need to be peeing constantly in the same spot ( and yes I have done everything short of buying a new one ...the rug not the dog...haha). Anyhow, the adhesion is really good except very difficult to roll out manually without I guess a special machine...so far so good otherwise

DO NOT BUY! This product is terrible. It is sticky on the outside of the roll instead of on the inside like others and it makes applications extremely difficult. This is not my first one using something like this for stairs and this product was impossible to use. Looks for something similar (on amazon) but that is sticky on the inside of the roll instead of the outside ****
