A really great durable scooter !
I do like this scooter a lot! I bought 3 scooters, this was the first one. It has a nice low deck which makes it easy to kick from since you don't have to bend your other leg that much. Just beware that the deck is really low when you go over edges etc. The pneumatic tires make this a really quiet scooter, people do not hear you coming ! However, those tires do not stay hard for very long, perhaps a week or two, before you would want to inflate again. The problem is that the valves are difficult to attach a pump to, since they are small and really close to the rims. The other problem is that the folding mechanism is too slow. If you don't need to fold it for your use that is not a problem, but if you go on a bus it is most practical to fold it. Otherwise it is a really good scooter, and comfortable too. Sturdily built. The rear push-down foot brake does work somewhat even in wet conditions since the tires are pneumatic and not Polyurethane. Update after almost 3 years of every day use: After almost 3 years of using this scooter 5 days a week I couldn’t be happier ad just now decided to buy another one so in case something happens to the tires on the old one I still have one to use since I need it every day. I have found the tires last about 2 years with everyday use before they wear out, they get a bulge in the tread and then you know it is time to change them out. You can buy the complete tire directly from Razor for under $25 each, which is reasonable. This is now my favorite scooter, very sturdy and lightweight (11lbs) so it is easy to bring on a bus if you need (like I do). You can just grab it and run up escalators or stairs and easily bring to your workplace. It doesnt need a lot of room. One great thing is the low deck which makes it so much easier on your knees. (Just be aware of large bumps). During dark mornings you can attach bike lights to the handlebar so you can be safe. The wide tires makes this a whole lot safer than the those with thin urethane tires. For those who are trying to stay fit: using this will greatly increase your muscle mass while shrinking your thighs and legs! Forgot to mention I am 5 f 5 and 140 lbs. it fits perfectly, just the right size for me.

Great purchase.
Great, smooth ride, folds easily. Sturdy. My 8 year old loves riding this. Much better than his old silver one with rollerblade style wheels.

So much fun!!
I purchased this to ride myself I am an adult and it is great. The height of the handle is adjustable so for me, it is great. I can ride through the gravel on the road without the fear of being knocked off. It does fine in low grass but if you are riding in bumpy it will stall because it still sits low to the ground. The tires were easy to fill and held air fine. I ride next to my grandson when he is riding his electric car, it goes 5 mph and I can't walk that fast and I don't run, so this was a great alternative to keep up with him. I do check the adjustment knob before I ride to make sure it is tight, as I ride in some bumpy areas, I have only had to tighten it once, but I still check. I recommend this scooter it is well-made and sturdy.

Wow! The A5 is GREAT.
The A5 is so, so, sooooooo much safer than the hard wheel, polyurethane wheel, scooters. The neumatic wheels absorb bumps that would otherwise send you flying. The air tires give you a bit of breathing room and safety over rough terrain, city streets, and can even roll over grass and dirt. Now, having said that... and echoing other well written reviews, the low clearance is dangerous on city streets and uneven terrain. You must go slow and pay great attention to any irregularities in the road. Fortunately, the air tires will easily ride over many of the bumps that polyurethane wheel will send you flying. But still, the low clearance of the A5, while wonderful for kicking, will often catch an uneven sidewalk and even at dead slow speeds, the scooter will stop and move your body forward. At faster speeds you could tumble. Even so, the A5 has been the best purchase in a very long time. Very useful. We traveled to Japan and using a jerry rigged strap, slung it over the shoulders on to our back, then carried it on the trains, and used it to easily get around the city. Even over The Rainbow Bridge. We purchased fancy 30$ high grade bearings for the wheels which reduced the rolling resistance considerably. People 100% need to buy the bering, it increases the glide a lot. The A5 is also a great workout vehicle. Working the arms, legs, glutes and core. You can really work up a burn if you want too, otherwise, it's a great way to get around town.

Own 3, none of the tires stay inflated... until now?
I bought 3 of these for my kids to replace their smaller razor scooters... I absolutely hate them. The quality seems great and initially I really liked them. It was a smoother and safer ride over the bumpy sidewalks and streets in NYC but we quickly noticed that none of the tires on these were staying inflated. And to make matters worse, the stems are so short and difficult to get to they are incredibly difficult to attach a pump to. They've been sitting on the rack for the past year after only a handful of uses since the tires need to be inflated before each use and it is a total pain to do it. A total waste of $300+ and will be my last Razor purchase. Update: so based on my issues with inflating the tires we didn't use these for over a year. We moved to a new place with trails out back and decided to inflate the tires and go for a ride. 2 months later and all the tires are still full... I have no idea why all of a sudden none of them are leaking. I am using a different air pump so my only thought was maybe my old pump was somehow making the valve stay open slightly after filling? I have no idea but I am much happier now! They are still a pain to inflate so minus 1 star.

Lots of fun
The main reason I bought this was to help me keep up with my son when he is riding his A2. Plus it looks like he's having so much fun, but I can't ride his lest I break it. I have had the A5 Air for a few months now and it is great. When we are going out to the park or wherever I just throw our scooters in the trunk of the car so we can pull them out when we get there and glide all around. Also great for cruising the neighborhood or short trips of a mile or two. I saw the description mention 'commuting' which I had thought was hilarious, but honestly if I commuted on mass transit I can totally see riding this a few blocks, folding it up, and jumping on the bus. It's built very sturdy - all solid aluminum construction like you expect from Razor. From the pictures I thought the fenders would be plastic, but they are aluminum as well with a black matte finish. The rear fender serves as a brake and is pretty effective. I am not a huge guy (5'10" 180 lbs) but I am definitely well within design specs. This thing is built for adults for sure. You definitely want to have a good tire pump and tire pressure gage. The tires call for 60 psi, and I can tell you that having them inflated properly is key. I did encounter a quality issue. After about two weeks the rear will started making a 'click-clack' sound which seemed like a bad bearing. I filled in a form on the website and they responded within a couple of days that replacement parts were on the way. They sent a set of two wheels and tires. I was able to swap out the rear wheel with simple tools in about 5 minutes, and now I have a spare as well. I am giving 5 stars because of the frictionless resolution of the issue. I have been riding for a few months since then and no further problems.

Razor A5 Air is great for the young and young at heart!!
Great scooter for riding around the park where there are uneven/cracked sidewalks! The pneumatic tires make all the difference in the world. It folds up very compactly to fit on the floor of the back seat of my car...and it's light enough for me to easily handle. The low ground clearance has not caused any problems for me at all, and is actually the main reason I decided on the A5 Air- for ease of propulsion. The adjustable handle makes riding comfortable, and I like that the handle bars come out easily when folding the scooter up to put away. While I thought that I wanted a hand brake, the traditional foot brake has been fine. When considering a scooter to haul to the park, the Razor A5 air should be at the top of your list! I am a little 70 yr old gal that is recovering from multiple ankle surgeries (I have 3 pins in my ankle) and I can't yet walk far enough for a nice stroll through the park with my husband. My new Razor A5 allows me to enjoy my time in the park, and is helping me regain strength and flexibility while I have fun being mobile! Thank you, Razor, for helping to make my life a little nicer!

Great scooter but not for city streets
So I've had this scooter for over a year and have ridden it around my neighborhood. I can say the scooter is a very smooth ride and it's very well constructed. It's held up very well. I don't know if I can really commend it though since there are other scooters on the market even with Razors other models. The reasoning is because the scooter rides lower than others I've written. It doesn't have as much ground clearance as other scooters with bigger wheels. You must be careful riding over uneven sidewalks. Because there's a good chance to bottom out and get thrown. For example, I was riding down the sidewalk near my park and part of the sidewalk was uneven and one side of it was lifted. It wasn't much, but enough that the bottom of the scooter caught it and threw me. I think other scooters would have easily cleared it. So I definitely wouldn't recommend this scooter to kids. By the way, I'm not a heavy guy. I weigh only 175 lbs and the wheels were properly inflated.
