Dark Crystal, the / Labyrinth (1986) / Mirrormask

To have 3 of my favorite movies from my teenage years in one set is totally awesome!!

First, I will start off by saying that these are two of my favorite movies and they both look and sound great in high definition. This release disappointed me slightly as I realized that this 'Brian Froud Art Edition' is nothing more than the individual 2009 Blu-ray releases that are packaged together in a slip cover. The movies each come in their own Blu-ray cases and retain the covers from their original Blu-ray packaging. There are no new special features and there is no Brian Froud art other than what it shown on the front of the slip cover.I would have preferred if the pictures that were shown on the front of the slip cover, also served as the artwork for each movie's Blu-ray case. It would have served the purpose of this release a little bit better. I would have also enjoyed a small booklet or something that showed more concept art from the movies or maybe some new special features on each disc.Depending on how much you find Labyrinth for, this set costs about the same as buying both individually (probably a little cheaper even). If you are a collector or already own these on Blu-ray, save your money because this isn't worth your time. These are the same Blu-rays that were already released, just with a special package. If you don't own these on Blu-ray though, this is indeed a nice way to get them because you can keep both movies together on your shelf using the slip cover. Overall, this release could have been much better but it's still decent. (I have included the product links of each movie on Blu-ray to show you what versions you're actually getting with this set). A great collection worth having ! Also a great gift to old school fantasy lovers!

Love all 3 movies! Was introduced to "The Dark Crystal " as a child probably 4 or 5 loved the Gelflings and the adventure was a little scared of it but not bad ( probably not great for sheltered children) . "Labyrinth", I thought everyone had seen this but come to find out my boyfriend who was raised sheltered (Mormon) had never seen this. It's like a musical adventure like "Wizard of OZ" but a little darker. If your not into the darker side of life then I wouldn't suggest this for you, but you never know you might love it give it a try. Last but not least "MirrorMask", one of my really good friends showed me this in my 20's I thought Jim Henson was done surprising me (but truthfully I wish he never would) this is another adventure dark and mysterious as the first two (but this one would be great for acid). I will never get bored of these and my daughter loves them. Shipping was on time have no complaints all the way around! Hope this is helpful!!!

The Dark Crystal and the Labarynth are two of my childhood favorites so when I saw this triple pack with a bonus movie I'd never heard of before I had to buy it. The original movies are just as I remembered them, though as an adult some parts are a little cheesy, BUT the awesome puppetry is what makes the movies so great. As for the third movie, Mirrormask, that one has me conflicted because I do like it but at the same time it's one of the strangest movies I've ever seen. I didn't look into what Mirrormask was when I got the pack but the best way to describe it is if the Labarynth and Alice in Wonderland had a baby while taking acid. It's a very different movie and I appreciate all art forms so this one goes on the "that was different" memory shelf. The creativity that went into making Mirrormask is astonishing, it kept surprising me with wow what will they think of next so eventhough it was odd it still kept my interest. Overall I highly recommend this triple movie pack!

I absolutely had to replace my older VHS and lost CD disk movies. These are classics my children grew up with and even almost 25+ years passing are such mesmerizing beautifully made stories. The quality is as good as the CGI movies they make today but back when real costumes were made to perfection. Who doesn't just love Jim Henson movies?? These movies are a delight for all ages. Popcorn and slippers, cozy up and enjoy the evening with your children or date. We had to get these movies before more modern PC movies come in to replace. I don't mind remakes and will probably invest into them as companion but YOU HAVE TO GET THE ORIGINALS in your collection before they aren't available.

Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and Mirror Mask are a nice combination. Mirror Mask is the one story I can't seem to sit and watch. It's possibly a French setting with a young girl who is in the Circus atmosphere. Dark Crystal and Labyrinth are the real gems that Jim Henson have done. The Dark Crystal is centered around the battle for which is the Dark Crystal that is the power source for the evil and good usually triumphs in the end. Excellent puppeteers and actors who undertook this endeavor. Labyrinth is a young girl coming of age who has an active imagination that takes on a new meaning. Sarah(Jennifer C) is fighting the Goblin King Jareth (David Bowie) to get her baby brother back before the 13th hour. She must solve the labyrinth and has adventures meeting new friends and finally realizes what truly matters.

The case was badly damaged, and the mirror dvd was not held in place. The part of case had broken that held it in place. Oddly the dvd still plays a small scratch but not bad. Oh well! Its worth the buy for 3 classic dvds

Bought these at a price that would barely cover postage. Listed as used but when received they were band new and sealed.Bargain of the Season☃️ 🎄😀😀😀

As a family we all enjoyed The Dark Crystal and many many years later I could still bits from the film but I wanted to see it again. This great double DVD allowed me to do that AND see Labyrinth that somehow I missed the first time around. Great films and great stories for young and old.

Two excellent examples of Jim Hensons genius. Two classic film, add David Bowie a great nights entertainment.

This is a great film and David bowie was very good in it. I like the film a lot. I would recommend it. I saw it when it came out and it was good then and good now. RIP David bowie we will miss you loads.

Both are good films but i also prefer Labyrinth alot more which is why i brought these like this & also I Like how they used the Puppets by Jim Henson,They don,t make many like this anymore.
