Great starter for beginners in candy making. Easy! Safe! Our first attempt in making chocolate covered potato chips and this little silicone pot did a great job! It's not the fastest melter, but very consistent in keeping it at a perfect temperature throughout the entire process once it does get melted. Also felt very safe and did not require constant stirring. Silicone didn't affect the taste of the chocolate. Easy to handwash. Can hold about a pound of wafers or a little more perhaps.

An absolute must for large batches!!! I am SO glad I finally pulled the trigger and got this for a wedding I was making cake pops for. I’ve made thousands of cake pops and have always made do with a glass measuring cup and a microwave, but this is a complete game changer. So easy to use, easy to clean, and melts quicker than I was expecting but doesn’t burn. The keep warm feature is nice and it’s so easy to add extra melts if you are running low. I wish it was slightly deeper but really can’t complain. Made over 160 cake pops with this bad boy.

If you are a baker or work frequently with melted chocolate this is a must buy. I was constantly burning chocolate trying to melt it in the microwave (the way the candy melts instructions say to!) and working over the stove with a double boiler is too much of a hassle. This works quickly and easily, with no fuss and no issues. I let my chocolate melt while I’m doing other things, and the keep warm function keeps it from cooling while I’m working. I’m using melted chocolate way more now because it’s not a nightmare to do anymore. It’s incredibly easy to clean by just running it under hot water and letting the chocolate melt away.

An excellent little appliance that takes away the need for a double broiler for melting your chocolate melts. The silicone bowl cleans easily, and the units is extremely easy to use. The only thing I would add is a thermometer function.

This works GREAT using regular grocery-store baking-aisle chocolate-chips. I was worried special "melting wafers" would be required, but no, regular Toll House/Kroger and Ghirardelli chocolate works just fine! I've used both semi-sweet and white chocolate chips. As per the directions, it does take about 20 minutes to melt a pot-full of it, so plan your timeline accordingly, but it keeps it melted without issue and is really easy to work with and clean. I love the plastic insert -> it makes it so much easier to clean. Popping off the residual chocolate is just as easy as it's advertised. I can't speak to the lifespan, but I imagine it's pretty simple electronics and should last a long while. I'll come back and update this if it breaks/burns out in the near future. In summary: If you occasionally play with melting chocolate, dipping or drizzling, THIS IS GREAT. My biggest regret with this, is that I didn't buy it sooner.

I wanted to be able to dip my own fruit to make somewhat healthy desserts. The chocolate melted fast. Now, I learned an important lesson next. It won’t work well with frozen fruit! Take it from me and don’t waste your time or chocolate on something frozen. It made the chocolate solidify, then it had to melt again. This was no fault of the machine, this was my fault. This will work best with room temperature items. Over all this is a great little machine. Cleaned up very easy. Used a paper towel to remove as much of the left over chocolate as I could. Rinsed with really hot water then put the melting cup in the dishwasher. Tip: You don’t want to dump extra chocolate down the drain, it will clog your drain. Heating unit wipes off easily. I will be enjoying this melter for a long time.

Not that good
