It’s amazing!!...as long as you meet specific criteria
This thing changed my life!!! I had left knee surgery about 10 days ago and cannot bear weight on my left leg for 6 weeks. I have to wear a bulky brace that was initially locked at full extension (0°) for the first week postop. During this time, I had to rely on crutches. However, after I was cleared by the surgeon and physical therapist, my knee brace was unlocked to where I could bend my knee 90° approximately one week after surgery. That’s when the scooter came in really handy. I had been searching for some sort of lightweight device with a good turning radius that was easily transportable. Kneerover and their competitors predominantly make knee scooters for people who have had ankle/foot surgery, which would not work for me in this case. The Kneerover Evolution is designed for people who have had knee surgery as it has a bicycle seat for sitting and leg rests where you can put your leg at full extension if needed. It allowed me to increase my mobility and get back to work as the device is very stable, turns fairly well, and basically eliminated the need for me to use crutches when ambulating on a flat surface. However, this device is not for everyone. I am 5’8” and about 170 lbs with slender legs. I would say if I was any taller or had thicker lower extremities, there is no way I would be able to fit on this scooter. If the basket is attached to the scooter, I am unable to put my leg at full extension and turn the scooter to the left without it banging into my leg. Because I can bend my leg up to 90°, I just rest my left foot on the front axle, which works fine for me at this point. I would imagine this device will not work well for taller, obese, long-legged folks or if one has large thighs, calves, and feet. It also will not work that well if you are unable to bend your knee at all or have to traverse uneven surfaces or inclines and declines. If you do meet the specific criteria listed in this paragraph, then you will not regret buying this device immediately.

Great product for individuals with knee replacements!
I received this KneeRover Monday evening and put it together immediately. I had foot surgery yesterday and so have used it for about a day and it is amazing! I am so thrilled that I found something after buying crutches, a walker and a knee scooter. It’s like a knee scooter, but you sit on it and rest your bad foot on one of the pegs.. It was so easy to put together and it has been a lifesaver for me to get around the house. I had knee replacements, so I was not able to use a knee scooter and I am also a heavier person and this has been perfect for me. I will use it probably for a couple more weeks maybe longer and I am so thrilled. It is well-made and is very durable. The seat is big and comfortable. It does not work great on carpeting, but I have hard flooring in most of the house so I just had me son relocate my TV and chair to a different room. Thank you again KneeRover for producing such a well-made durable Awesome product!

Very good for some users...maybe not others
It seems people either love this or hate it. I like it pretty well. I injured my knee while doing pt on my shoulder, so when the ortho said crutches and non weight bearing, I knew that would be hard. I am 50yo who normally walks 10,000 steps a day...reasonably active but overweight, so keep that in mind. I bought this especially for getting out of the house alone. I have a dd with a medical condition, and so we have both a standard wheelchair and an electric scooter already. The problem was, I couldn't use those alone...hubby or other dd needed to push me or set up the electric scooter. I drive a minivan, so I did not need to collapse this at all, and I can easily lift it in and out. My driving leg is fine, so this allows me to go some places without assistance. As far as around the house, I use an armless office chair for that...I scoot around backwards and can easily navigate our downstairs. So, I really have not used the scooter in the house. But I had an mri today, and was able to navigate around the hospital just fine. Hubby dropped me at the door...I could not have managed the hill up to the entrance. After, we went to dinner, and I was able to navigate into the restaurant. I had an issue at one doorway with a raised lip, but my office chair had been having fits with the thresholds in our house, so I have gotten used to paying attention. Hubby actually took up the thresholds in the house for me. I do think this is overpriced for what it is, but for me, I knew being able to get to dr appointments and the like on my own was very important for me. And after we fix this knee, I likely have the other one to do...so...it will be well used. You do have to get used to pushing it so that your leg doesn't hit the rear wheel. We raised the basket by using zip ties to attach it to the handle bars. I wrapped the "foot rest" with foam and covered it with a sock, for comfort. The seat is ok...If this drags on into months, I would consider a better seat. So, is it perfect...not at all. And if you have any balance issues, this may not be right for you. But for me, it really beats having to constantly ask for help to get around outside the house.

Purchased "open box" option. Easy assembly. Hubby has 1 leg amputation so needed something smaller than wheel chair when not using prosthesis. He loves it. Has not used chair since purchased. Very sturdy.

I love the maneuverability of this scooter, but since I have to keep my affected leg straight, it means that my calf sits square on the, foot peg, which is very uncomfortable. It would have been great for them to have included some sort of removable foam piece to accommodate this. Otherwise I think it'll be a life saver!! Very solid and just the right size.

Does not raise the leg high enough after knee surgery and definitely is not meant for anyone over 6ft tall. I tried to return this item and it is non-returnable...so fair warning to those that aren't sure about an expensive purchase. Really disappointing after spending over $300
