For the price it can't be beat
I got one renewed and the only two defects are a scratch on the volume rocker and a battery with only 86% capacity according to AccuBattery. Since the batteries aren't cheap or easy to replace that's kind of a bummer but it's enough to last until the next set of Pixels come down in price on the used market. I still get about 5 hours of screen time. Not good but not horrible. There is no fingerprint reader so it's not very convenient with a mask but it's not a huge deal. Battery life is fine but I do have to recharge at least twice a day as a heavy user (I don't let it drop below 25% and I unplug at 90% and I don't charge overnight). Screen is good, the forehead is big but there's no camera cut out. Speakers are good, nice and loud. The camera is amazing and why I keep buying Pixels. It's fast and consistently takes great photos and video but the lens gets filthy almost immediately so I constantly have to wipe it off. Running stock Android is nice and fast too, and Pixels usually get four major OS upgrades so with two under the belt there's two more to go so this phone will last a long time. You'll have to replace the battery before it runs out of official software support.

Absolutely Perfect, Everything I've Looked Forward To!!
First of all, i want to mention that i appreciate the seller i bought this from, the shipping was fast as could be, i actually first bought this phone from a different seller that left me hanging for about a little more than a week, not knowing if it had shipped out or not, etc etc, come to find out, they were out of stock of this phone and waiting until I reached out to them to tell me they had run out of stock. So to say that i appreciate the fast service from this seller, is an understatement. Now onto the phone itself, I absolutely love it, I'm a big fan of the pixel line, and i am upgrading from a Nexus 6p. The phone is slightly less wider than a Nexus 6p, but that is not a downside, as it allows my thumb to be able to reach across the screen more easily. Quick Charge is super neat and the battery lasts me all day, I'm a heavy user btw. I have yet to try out the wireless charging but I look forward to it. Face recognition was surprisingly fast, as fast as finger print recognition from the Nexus 6p, which was a big worry for me, since I thought that i would have to be holding my phone up to my face like a middle aged uncle attempting to take a facebook profile picture, it even works pretty well in dim lighting!

Buyer Beware
I typically buy all my electronics brand new because I've been burned in the past, but I decided to take a chance, save a bit of money and purchase a refurbished Pixel 4 Xl. I will *never* be doing that again and I encourage the rest of you to spend the extra few hundred on a new device, for the following reasons. 1: The phone arrived with a known Pixel 4 defect where the battery percentage doesn't display any more or less than 50% charge capacity, regardless of what the actual charge level is. The phone was in perfect working order otherwise, so I decided to keep it. The phone lasted a month before crashing and becoming unresponsive to boot commands, both normally and in safe mode. 2: Upon contacting the seller via email, they informed me (in broken English) that the phone was still under warranty through Google (I checked and it wasn't) and that I should send it in for replacement. I then had spend $150 out of pocket to order a new battery and pay a third party to do the work, a fix that they admitted "might work, because we don't actually know how to fix your problem". 3: After a week of waiting, I got the phone back and it worked just fine, no issues of any kind whatsoever. That was a month ago now and the phone is back to crashing, now at the slightest bump or pressure. Sometimes it will boot right away after the crash, other times it will need to sit on a charger for a bit and think about it's bad behavior before it decides to boot. Either way, it will require additional repair. At this rate, I'll need to buy a burner phone to have on hand for how unreliable this thing is. Moral of the story here? Don't be a cheap POS. The idea of buying a flagship superphone like the Pixel 4 XL for half the original price is appealing, sure, but it simply isn't worth the risk that comes with buying refurbished.

Worth it
I was skeptical of buying this phone due to the recent string of bad reviews, but with costs continuing to exceed beyond belief, I opted to save some money when I needed a new phone quickly. This phone had zero signs of being used, it literally looked brand new. This is very worth it for the money. The battery lasts longer than any other Google Pixel or phone I've had. I've had zero issues with this phone so far. I like this model more than the cheapo Pixel 9 Pro I had previously upgraded to. That phone stinks, this phone does not.

The Google Pixel 4 XL is a flagship smartphone that offers a premium experience with a great camera and good performance. The device is built with a sleek and sturdy design, featuring a metal and glass construction. The 6.3-inch OLED display is large and vibrant, with a resolution of 3040x1440 and a 90Hz refresh rate, providing a great visual experience for watching videos, browsing the web or playing games. One of the main highlights of the Pixel 4 XL is its camera system. The rear camera setup includes a 12.2MP main sensor and a 16MP telephoto sensor, both of which are able to capture stunning photographs with great detail and color accuracy. The camera also has a Night Sight mode that allows you to take great shots even in low-light conditions. The front-facing 8MP camera is also great for selfies and video calls. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM, which provides a smooth and snappy performance. The phone also features a face unlock system that is fast and secure. The device runs on Android 10, which provides a clean and easy-to-use interface, and it is also eligible for the next Android updates, which ensures that the phone will be up-to-date in terms of security and features. The device also comes with a built-in Google Assistant, which allows you to control the phone and access information quickly and easily. However, the device also has its downsides. One of the most notable is the battery life, which can be short if you're using the phone heavily throughout the day. The phone comes with a 3700mAh battery, which is average for a device of this size. The device also lacks expandable storage and a headphone jack, which may be a deal breaker for some users. Additionally, the device is not compatible with 5G networks, which is a disappointment for those who are looking for a 5G capable device. Overall, the Google Pixel 4 XL is a great smartphone for those looking for a high-end Android device with a great camera and clean software. The device's design, display, and camera are top-notch, and the performance is smooth and snappy. However, the device's battery life, lack of expandable storage and headphone jack, and lack of 5G compatibility are downsides that should be considered before making a purchase.
