DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Umbria Paperback – Illustrated, May 2, 2011

I haven't gotten to Italy yet.......but in a few days I will be there and I expect to put this gorgeous book on Umbria to good use. I just wish that this Eyewitness Travel series also covered Le Marche and some of the lesser known provinces in Italy. It is a great travel series and like good cookbooks, the authors and editors know to get your mouth watering, you need the text to be matched with equally alluring photos of the places you will be seeing.

The wonderful color pictures was a factor in choosing this book. The size is great to take on the trip. This book had all the Umbria information I was looking for that is just touched upon in an inclusive book on Italy. Small towns as well and the larger well-known towns and areas and points of interest were covered. I tend to like the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide Series.

Good addition for touring Umbria. Let us get acquainted with sights & towns we wanted to visit before we traveled.

Excellent ..used it on trip there . Umbria is vast area with lots of differences. This worked through that and was helpful

Very good guide and suggestions

As always, DK guide books are the best to be found. You get all the important information you'll ever need, plus fabulous illustrations and photographs to make you want to get there as soon as possible!

What a super book to use for reference while traveling.

DK travel guides are the best in my opinion.

Ideal

My husband and I love the Eyewitness travel books. It was great to have this book, plus the Florence/Tuscany book. Between both books, we were well covered for most of central Italy.
