I needed this type of can tap because I was using an R12 manifold, and this had the R12 1/4" tap, to fit my R12 hose. I did not want to buy a set of R134 gauges at this time. I am going to work for Uber and Lyft, and the car MUST have working A/C, and needed it fixed quick, as cheap as possible. So picked this up to keep the recharge cost down. The system was low, but not totally empty, so I did not have to vac down. This tool is set up for small oil cans, R12 cans, and the fatter R134 cans. The rubber seal leaked some of the FJC stop leak fluid, and some of the Suva 134. I think it needs a thicker, softer rubber seal. I may try to take the seal off my old MAC R12 can piercer and put it on this green tool. But I was able to inject the stop leak and 24 oz of 134, and get the 07 Town Car's temperature output to 40°.. I will update the old R12 gauges later, but for today, this green tool really saved my butt......and one more thing, Kudos to amazon and their excellent customer service. I ordered one of these tools, but it never arrived, or was stolen. Amazon shipped me a new one, next day shipping, for no additional cost. Thank you amazon. I should be able to hit the road for Uber and Lyft this weekend with the A/C working now.

Just slide tool over can and squeeze to lock. Tool comes with adapter for smaller cans. Tighten brass fitting to puncher can.Works great if you can't find the right adapter for the top of the can your using like myself.

Pretty good design. Need to make sure the cans are in great shape, any dent will weaken the can and the seal won't make up. Even if the dent is on the other side of the can from where you want to pierce it. Lost one can doing the charge.

This can tap tool locks in place after puncturing the can. There is internal valves that will probably need to be removed for proper flow before puncturing the can. This Can tapping tool be used for multiple substances. The tool can be used for 3 different sized cans. The can tool is very good quality. It works extremely well and fits perfectly in your hand.

Leaks . A bit of panic ,I was in a well ventilated area but that can leaked so bad that I had to get to outside open air as soon as possible. This product is a hazard and could potentially kill you!!!!! Not worth it!

Doesn't seem to keep a seal. The piece that is removeable that braces the can pops off easy while under pressure....using butane and flammable gasses can become very dangerous.Tried to use this with a plant extraction kit for a recovery tank. It just doesn't work in real life as well as in theory.Why can't we have an extractor tip for cans just to blast into? Put it on a hose or a tank it would be amazing.
