These mats are beautiful and comfortable. I think the grass smell is quite pleasant.However, with natural products do come some natural challenges. On a sleepless night I had the light on and spotted a couple of mites. Upon researching mites and tatami mats, I found sites that recommend sprays and wipes. I could not find any of these products for purchase here in the US.I really like my mats and I would hate to give them up. As I said, I have only seen a couple and I live in a somewhat rural area. But I think it would be good for Amazon to carry some of the mite treatment products.For others who have ordered, if you haven't yet, look up sites on how to maintain your tatami.

These mats are truly beautiful, at first have a very earthy smell that invites a kind of escape. However, after a year of mild use (no shoes, two adults in one apartment), I am sad to say that they have began to fray at the edges, rendering them not so useful without an ugly intervention like duck tape or something. Once the grasses are loose, they start to unweave and break off, getting tracked all over the house. I'm not sure if we simply received a few defective mats or if this is the general quality of them, but I don't think I would buy again outside of for an area that no one walks over.

It’s a great product and you can tell the Japanese quality and handcraft details. The features are amazing. Ability to strap them together is great and to be honest nothing beats the personal note and origami the handcrafter includes in his packaging.Simply put. Art at its best.AJ.

Mattress looks good but the quality is actually terrible. The material is not natural. When you wipe it you will see the color get lost. My white socks turns to green too.

Really nice quality, and nice to sleep on under my futon. The squares are very large and don't slide around. Grass smell is pleasant and not overpowering. The brown border is nice and well sown. I wanted a Japanese style bed that was easy to put away, and these squares pack up nicely during the day. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

Not sure if it has been used, looks like it has couple of large area of stain, or color is not even?

We were very pleased with this product. My wife, being from Japan was worried this would be a knock off/Americanized version of a tatami mat but was very pleased with what we received . Have not installed it yet but inspected that there were no defects. We have a 4 month old French Bulldog puppy and need him to grow out of his chewing/teething phase as well as becoming fully potty trained before we replace our smelly area rug with the mat(s). We can't wait to infuse our house with the grassy aroma conjuring up memories of her childhood home.

Lots of debris comes off and stick to pants everywhere. I only purchased it 3 months ago and am thinking to discard because of the debris problem.

I really like my tatami mats. I use a japanese futon on top of these to sleep on at nights my floors are oak wood so would be too hard otherwise. The mats have a nice smell and i enjoy the look and feel of them. I can move them around where i want and store them away or air them after. I like the clean simplicity of this way of sleeping. Definitely a good buy for me.

The assembly, not really described or featured in the advert, is surprisingly easy, convenient, and flexible. While not the usual dimensions of tatami, the look is Japanese, and fresh. In the size I bought, it replaces a rug with a unqiue look.

6枚セットで布団1組ぶんにゆとりがあるくらいのサイズ感です。実際、色むらもい草がきれている箇所もあります。ただ、お値段以上の快適さです。ほぼしまうことなく年中使っていますが、フローリングにかびが生えることもなく、飲み物をこぼしても拭くだけでなんとかなりとても便利です。夏は寝転がって昼寝、冬はこたつを乗せて昼寝。フローリングのかたくて冷たいのは嫌でしたが気管支が弱くラグやカーペットを敷きたくなかったので、この商品に出会えて本当に良かったです。ジョイントについては差す穴が緩んでくるのか最近は隙間が大きく感じます。隙間があればゴミも落ちます。掃除すれば良いことです。たまにお手入れすれば長く使えますよ。おすすめです。

ワンルームに住んでいますが、土足部屋のため日本人として違和感がありました。裸足で床に座れる空間を確保したくて置畳なるものを購入。サイズ的にこれより大きいとワンルームに収めるのは難しいでしょう。ごろ寝してもよし、あぐらを組んでもよし。クッションと併用して腰を下ろしてもよし。自分の生活空間がかなり快適になりました。い草の品質は中程度でしょうか。もっと上等な畳はいくらでもあるでしょうが最低限は満たしていると思います。これよりも下のランクの畳だと、もしかすると違和感が出るかもしれません。買って正解の商品でした。なおサイズを見ればわかると思いますが、寝転がれるかどうかは身長にもよりますがギリギリです。まあ足が少しぐらいはみ出した所でどうということもないのですが、気になる人はもっと大きい畳にするべきでしょう。

リビングに置いてゴロゴロするために使っています。半年くらいたったのかな。だんだんイグサがモロモロしてきたので、場所を入れ替えたりして使ってます。届いた頃は、うちに帰るとイグサの香りがしてなんだか落ち着くなーって癒されてました。

国産い草、1.2センチと薄いが中身が木材ボードではないものが良くて購入。9枚で長方形の炬燵の下敷きより広めですが、ごろ寝するには良い感じです。1枚が軽く、ジョイントもやりやすかった。またジョイントした枚数が多いのか動きにくいです。い草なので夏もベタベタせず良さそう。

フローリングの部屋に和室のスペースを作るには良いですね。そこそこ厚みがあるし、軽くて丈夫そうで便利です。強いて言えば隙間に入り込むチリやゴミが心配ですが、こればかりは掃除するより仕方ないでしょうけれどもね。組合せが自由だろうと半畳タイプにしましたが、一畳のものがあるのならそちらにすればよかったかな。

い草の香りが最高です。フローリングにぴったりフィットして感無量です。

これまで、ソファーに寝転がってましたが、畳の上で事由に寝転がれます。畳の間より弾力があり寝心地はいいです。まとめて買うと高価ですが、一枚２０００円くらいなので、この品質でこの価格なら納得です。

場面に合わせて、ﾊﾟｽﾞﾙみたいに使用できる

フロアの一角に畳のスペースがすぐにできあがる。とっても気に入ってます。買い足して使ってます。

い草のいい匂いがします。1歳の息子が畳を指でカリカリしてます。音と手触りがたまらないみたいです。家族のくつろぎスペースになっています。

井草の為、畳の感触が気持ち良いです只、連接が遣りづらい、連接が簡単にできる工夫をお願いします🙇⤵
