Marson 39000 HP-2 Hand Rivet Tool

This is a well designed rivet tool for light to medium duty hand use. I like the fact that I can install 3/32" rivets too. Sad we are unable to make them in US anymore. I'm guessing Malco is the last maker of a hand riveter still produced here.

I bought my first Marson pop rivet tool in 1990 and used it for 24 years. When it finally broke and I looked at what was available here in Australia, there was nothing that compared so I went online and bought another Marson. Now I will order spare parts for my original tool, rebuild it, give it to my grandson, and it will keep going for another 24 years. Simple really!

Its heavy duty and well built. Some advice. Do not keep it in your bags where there are screwss.

Read a lot of reviews about this tool and all were spot on. Don't buy the junk at Lowe's.

On the first use with 3/16" rivets, it did not eject properly. Took quite some time to get the piece out. Next use, the piece remained, and could not be retrieved. In the attempt to get it out by pushing it from either side, the piece mushroomed and became impossible to dislodge. So, on the first day of use, it is now useless. I had spent the morning removing old handles from our kayak, and was riveting in new grommets and new handles. Only two rivets are in one handle, so we cannot go out today as planned. I'm ordering the Stanley product in the hope it will perform better.

This puller can pull 1/8 pop rivet with one hand while holding item with the other. This is not true with harbor freight puller. No comparison.

This is a great pop riveting gun. It will last a long time if you take care of it.
