Nice quality and comfy
For anyone who enjoys outdoor activities or works in cold environments during the colder months, a reliable base layer is essential. The Under Armour Men's Packaged Base 3.0 is designed to be a mid-weight thermal layer, offering warmth for cold conditions while managing moisture during activity. I've tested this base layer to see how it performs when the temperature drops. Material and Feel:The Base 3.0 uses a dual-layer fabric construction. The interior is designed to trap warmth, while the exterior helps wick away sweat. The material feels substantial – definitely warmer than a lightweight base layer, but not as thick as a heavy-weight version. It has a good amount of stretch, allowing for a comfortable, close fit without feeling restrictive. The inside has a soft texture against the skin, enhancing comfort for extended wear. It also incorporates Under Armour's Scent Control technology, aiming to reduce odor. Fit and Sizing:Base layers are meant to fit snugly against the skin to effectively trap body heat and wick sweat. The Base 3.0 has an athletic, next-to-skin fit. It's not a compression fit, but it follows the body's contours closely. I found the sizing to be accurate; choosing your usual size should provide the intended fit. The design features flatlock seams, which are crucial in a base layer to prevent chafing, and I experienced no issues with seam irritation. Features:Key features are focused on thermal performance and comfort:Dual-Layer Fabric: Manages both warmth retention and moisture wicking.4-Way Stretch: Allows for excellent mobility. Moisture Transport System: Actively wicks sweat away from the skin. Anti-Odor Technology: Helps keep the garment fresh over time.Flatlock Seams: Designed to prevent chafing and irritation. The "packaged" aspect refers to how it's sold, often indicating it's part of their core thermal line.Performance in Cold Weather:This is where the Base 3.0 is designed to shine. As a mid-weight layer, it provides significant warmth in cold conditions, typically suitable for temperatures well below freezing when layered appropriately. Warmth: It effectively traps body heat, providing a noticeable thermal barrier against the cold. Moisture Management: When engaged in moderate to high activity, the moisture-wicking works reasonably well, helping to keep you drier than non-wicking fabrics. However, in very high-intensity activities in freezing temps, any base layer can struggle to keep you completely dry, but the Base 3.0 performs capably for its weight class. Layering: The snug fit and smooth exterior make it excellent for layering other garments like fleeces, hoodies, or insulated jackets on top without feeling bulky or restrictive. It's an ideal base layer for activities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking in winter, or working outdoors in cold climates. Comfort:Thanks to the soft interior and flatlock seams, the Base 3.0 is very comfortable for all-day wear. It moves with your body and doesn't cause itching or irritation, even after hours of activity.Durability and Washing:After multiple washes (following care instructions), the Base 3.0 has maintained its shape, elasticity, and thermal properties. The fabric and seams show no signs of wear or degradation. The anti-odor technology seems to remain effective. It appears to be a durable piece of thermal wear that should last for several seasons.Design and Aesthetics:As a base layer, the design is functional first. It's usually available in core colors like black, grey, and navy. The look is simple and athletic, fitting snugly as intended. Aesthetics aren't the primary focus, but it has a clean finish.Pros:Excellent mid-weight warmth for cold conditions.Effective moisture-wicking properties for active use.Comfortable next-to-skin fit with 4-way stretch. Flatlock seams prevent chafing. Durable construction holds up well to washing.Good layering piece.Anti-odor technology is a plus.Cons:May not be sufficient on its own for extreme, sub-zero temperatures without additional layers.Performance in very high-intensity activities where you generate a lot of sweat might still lead to some dampness (though better than many alternatives).Price point is higher than basic thermal wear, reflecting the brand and technology.Value for Money:For its performance as a reliable, warm, and comfortable mid-weight base layer from a trusted brand, the Under Armour Men's Packaged Base 3.0 offers good value. It's an investment in cold-weather comfort and performance that should last. Conclusion:The Under Armour Men's Packaged Base 3.0 is a highly effective mid-weight thermal base layer. It provides excellent warmth for cold conditions while doing a commendable job of managing moisture during activity. The comfortable fit, durable construction, and thoughtful features like flatlock seams make it a go-to option for anyone spending time outdoors in winter. While not suited for extreme cold as a single layer, or perhaps the absolute sweatiest activities without backup, it excels in its intended role and is a reliable piece of gear for cold-weather adventures and work.

Perfect and Warm
These are so warm and do what they advertise them to do which is make you feel like you have a second skin that is automatically warm, I would highly recommend if someone is working outside in the cold or playing outside it the cold. They are a little pricey but worth the money. We have purchased our whole crew one for the winter weather and they all love them

Must for Wisconsin winters
I build custom homes and when fall is right around the corner, it's under armour time. I saw them on here for like thirty some bucks. I got about 5 or 6 of them. In the store that would be 300 dollars, Amazon, less than 175.Ifeel this is one of under armours top products that keeps me coming back. The fit is always perfect. They are very warm for outside work. It's so cold that the compressor freezes up and the batteries won't hold a charge. These are mandatory!

Read below for an honest review and an explanation why the shirt is longer!
I am 5’11” and 165lbs. Chest: 38 Waist: 32.I got a size medium.Fit:The shirt is longer than normal to help prevent it from rising up when moving or bending down during activity! If it was shorter, then cold air would come in when bending over. I know someone reviewed the length of the shirt, and said that they hated how it looked, but it's longer on purpose. Regarding actual fit, I believe that the shirt is true to size. However, it is a bit tight on the armpit / chest region. This is because the shirt is a “fitted” style. Consult the size guide because it should be fine for most, but if you are on the larger side (chest) you might want to get a size up.Comfort:I know irritation is of concern for some people, but the shirt did not irritate and was rather comfortable. The material isn’t that rough on the skin, that being said don’t expect it to be silky smooth. Nonetheless, it should be perfectly fine for most people. The stitching near the shoulders can be a bit rough on the skin. Unnoticeable for the most part.Warmth:I bought this shirt to use when I go out to run in the winter. I wear this as a base and then layer it out with a jacket on top. It works fine for ~30 degrees temperature with a light layer. I don’t know how I would feel below 30 ish but it definitely helps, so I would recommend.Quality:This shirt is made of synthetic materials. It works great for working out and activity. Since it isn’t like merino wool, the material also lasts longer after washes and remain durable. The fabric feels pretty durable as well and considerably thick.Price:Very pricey. I know that base layers are considerably more expensive than normal shirts but the $70 is definitely a steep price to pay for a shirt. There may be cheaper alternatives that match the quality, but if you want to play it safe and value reliability, durability, consider getting this shirt.TDLR: Reliable base layer that is durable and helps maintain some warmth. Probably not goose down warm, but it helps. Bit tight on the chest, but still true to size in my opinion. May not "look" great considering its tight fit if not wearing something with it. On the pricey end if paying full price.

Keeps Me Warm
This under shirt does keep me warmer than a regular long-sleeve knit shirt. Not quite as warm as I was hoping, but should work for me. At first I ordered a size large, which is the size I wear. It was a bit tight. I exchanged it for XL, and am very happy with that. If you like a tighter fit, then order the size you normally wear. If you like a looser fit, I recommend ordering one size larger than normal.
