Podoy 55-491 String Trimmer Head for Compatible with Pivotrim 55-491 M10x1.25LHF

This device allows eight strands of string to contact weeds for each revolution of the head, as opposed to the typical two strings. I've used this for years now and wouldn't go back. True you don't have the simplicity of just 'bopping' to feed more string, but I'll take this any time.One note to the manufacturer. This head would be twice as good with true sealed ball bearings allowing each string pair to swivel freely. The cheap plastic 'bearing' hangs up badly, though the device still works pretty well. Four steel string posts would be much better than the plastic.

Purchased for a still straight shaft trimmer, supposedly a universal fit. However the nut has a different thread pattern than my trimmer. A waste of money.

This trimmer saves me time in retreading the spool every 20 minutes

Am not sure if this product will hold up like OEM original?

I have purchased this item for second time and it's worth the equipment change to your trimmer. Less hassles with the auto Fedders...

This head did not fit my Stihl, had my Buddy do some work on it, took him about 3/4 of an hour to get it installed on to my Weed Eater, after the first time I used it, the line needed to be replaced, went to install new line, but the holes would not accept line, so had to take a drill about the size of the hole, now it works great.

This is my second pivot trim head. I do a lot of trimming along miles of trails with these and I highly recomend them. They will eventually fail when the string pulls through the plastic holders. This takes several years and when I consider what it was cutting and how the string has corners that are good for cutting, I am not surprized. I cut lots of multi flora and other woody plants that do push a weed trimmer to it's limits. This is the best head that I have found.

I bought this primarily .. because seller claimed it could use .105 trimmer line as the original PivoTrim did. Received late yesterday and tried three different .105 lines .. none will fit. It did fit my Echo trimmer though.Looks like i have two choices .. return to Amazon .. or drill it out to fit .105 line.
