My only PCI slot was covered by my monster video card and this allowed me to use it anyhow!

I got a pretty beefy graphics card recently (2.9 slot behemoth) and didn't even consider it covering up my PCI-e 1x slots so I ended up having to remove an entire USB expansion card as a result and move the 2nd expansion card to the secondary 16x slot. This compromised performance and these beauties worked super well! Using 2 of them side did lead to a little cable squish when I plugged the graphics card in but that just means they're more secure. Didn't have to install any drivers, power any other cables, or adjust any bios settings which was major as I hate troubleshooting my new tech. The quality is through the roof for the price and the cables are very stiff which may or may not benefit you; in my case, these worked very well. I can't speak to the longevity of the risers but they seem to work perfectly well, I do wish I had gotten the version with the magnetic attachment points that would stick right to the case below the motherboard.Pros:- Cheap- Easy installation- LED indicator lights to indicate power/data transfer- Very well packaged (super protected)- Works exactly as described, no signal loss or connection degradationPotential Small Downsides:- The cable is very very stiff which worked for me but might not work in extremely tight spaces where you need to bend the cable- The instructions are pretty clear and straightforward but have some broken English so might be a little confusing if you are not "tech savvy"All in all, super happy with the purchase!

i used this to regain access to my pci express slot that was buried beneath my 1050ti. I was able to then install a 2.5GBase-T PCIe Network Adapter RTL8125B. works like a charm

I was needing something like this as my micro ATX motherboard puts the 1x PCI-E slot right under the GPU. Well this extension worked perfectly. There are some hiccups I'd like to mention.First, the ribbon cable included is far longer than the picture on Amazon leads you to believe, as you can see in my picture. In fact it's so long that even at the last slot, I have an upside U loop going on. But it does work and the extra is fine, though I had to put foam on the part actually in the motherboards slot, as the U loop was putting tension on it, causing it to come out of the slot.Second, the included magnets just don't reach the case, and in fact was causing it to pull itself off my card from the magnets pulling it towards the bottom of the case. They should include extra screws of different lengths and different magnets. Luckily I had some magnets I was able to put in the case to help prop it up so my sound card wasn't flapping in the breeze. But with a PCI-E extension cable, I expect this kind of thing. With that said, it does electrically work, and I now have my sound card working on this motherboard.

I built a custom PC using a mATX motherboard that had the slots too close together to be able to install a WiFi/BT card alongside the GPU. In retrospect, I should have just bought an ATX motherboard, but given the situation, this cable was the next best thing.Installation was a breeze. After placing some bends to the ribbon cable to take up the slack, everything went in nicely. As others have noted, the cable is longer than appears in the product listing at the time of this writing.

the cable that connects these is too big for the space i have in my mini ATX. i had to remove the magnets and the cable brace to make it fit. it should be fine since it will not move, but woudl be perfect if they moved the connector further up the cable.

What can I say it does its job. I purchased this because my new graphics card was covering up my only other pcie slot and I want to add an internal wifi fi card. Mainly for the Bluetooth. It installation was simple. The only thing I did was take 2 of the 4 magnet off so the bracket would be flush.

Used this extension to relocate my WiFi card out from under the graphics card to the furthest empty position. It’s just the right length. The magnetic feet are a great value add also to stabilize the card although they feel a tiny bit short. Might make other cards slightly unstable. My WiFi card is so light though, this isn’t a problem. Well designed.
