Doctrinal Details of the Plan of Salvation: From Premortality to Exaltation

It gives the details of the Life Journey of Man. The book explains that the spirit of Man is eternal without beginningor end. God created the body in spirit form and combine it with the spirit long before Man existed on the earth.Thus Man existed first in the pre-mortal existence as spirit with spiritual form like our mortal image.This spiritual body was given a physical body when Man was born on the earth.When Man die, the spiritual body separates with the physical body. Then in the Resurrection the Spiritual bodywill given an immortal body. At the Final judgment, God consigns all the Resurrected bodies accordingtheir Glories, whether it becomes a Celestial body which shines like the brightness of the sun, or terrestial bodies which glory shine like the moon, Telestial bodies which shines like the stars, and the Resurrected bodies which have no glory or brightness.

I loved this book and learned a thing or two. I didn't give it 5 stars only because of the set up of the book. I bought the Kindle version, the book starts out asking questions, like a quiz, but when you get to the answers part of the book, it doesn't repeat the questions, you either have to remember them or try to go back and find them. Not so easy on the Kindle.

We bought this book randomly to see if it had an answer to a random question my husband has had about the fall. (I guess it ends up being a "deeper doctrine" question because it wasn't in the book). BUT, the next convert baptism I attend I will probably buy them this book. It answers so many questions in a concise manner and it would have been helpful for me when I joined the church. It gives the basic answers and allows the reader to ponder and then seek more answers on their own about the plan of salvation if they want to. I wish I had this book 5 years ago!

While there is nothing wrong with this book, the title lead me to believe that it was more Bruce R McConkie type reading. However, it would make a great gift for a newer member of the church.

David J. Ridges is one of my favorite sources of preparation for teaching seminary and Sunday School. Since this month's youth theme is the Plan of Salvation, I thought this would be a good time to read this book. While it probably included more than anyone would ever need to know about the Plan, since I'm working with teenagers who never cease to find questions to perplex me, it was a good, solid foundation for the month!

Loved the book, so inspiring!!But totally frustrated by the poor kindle edition. I was most interested in the Qs and Answers at the beginning of the chapter and was keen to read the answers. As a matter of fact, this was the main reason I bought the book. It is a jumbled mess and cannot be read. I rang Amazon and was not helped by a most disinterested male employee, Problem still not fixed. So will I never get to read the information I was after? I wouldn't have bought it if I had known the problem would not be fixed.

Very well put together book on a subject that lots of people don't understand or are baffled by the Plan of Salvation, well don't worry this book will put you on the right path to understanding what is in store for us, The book contains eleven sections, so it will become clear as you read and study this book, covers it all. Very well written by David J Ridges, Have bought a lot of his books and he never fails to deliver. And The PLAN OF SAVATION. Will help you in every way.

Clearly details God's glorious plan for all of his children on earth. Read it with your heart and mind open and the Holy Ghost will reveal the truth to you. Pity the conversion to Kindle deleted the bottom of a number of pages.
