We got a Lindam Easy Fit stair gate but had an issue with our skirting board on the stairs having a gap measurement of 81cm and the walls having a gap of 90cm, so the official extensions wouldn't work for us as they come in 7cm adjustments and you have to use them for both the top and bottom pressure points. The Wall Nanny Extender is great as you can either use them for all four pressure points or just the ones you need. In our case we just used them for the top two. It is very sturdy, the stair gate doesn't move at all even if I put a lot of force into it so I completely trust it with my toddler. No installation is required, just place them between the stair gate pressure points and the wall and you're sorted! They also protect the walls really well, leaving no marks. I thought the product was quite expensive for what it is which is the only thing I can fault, but I couldn't really see any other products that would have worked for us so it was well worth the money.

The Wall Nanny Extender is a seriously useful product - I bought these to enable me to fit (the gate) across stairs that are just 1cm outside the recommended dimensions of the stairgate width (the stairs are therefore not wide enough to use a gate extender). I used just two of the extenders supplied (on the plasterboard side of my stairs) - this means that the gate itself is not extended too far therefore making it also much more stable. The size of the pad of the Wall Nanny Extender means there is dispersed pressure on the Wall so there's less risk of puncturing the plasterboard. Really easy to fit so a win, win situation!

Needed one of these units to take up the slack on one of the top spindles due to the skirting board on the stairs being quite deep making the spindle probably beyond its optimum point. It does the job perfectly and the gate seems to be very secure now. As others have said these are quite expensive when you only need one or two, and a waste as the others will just sit in a drawer gathering dust, so packs of 2 for half the price would be ideal. Having said that I would definitely recommend these rather than using a make-do solution, hence why I haven't knocked off any stars for the price

I bought these as couldn't get extension kits for the pet gate I have. Wanted to fix gate on stairway and it was just slightly too narrow for the space. Saw these and thought they would be worth a try. The product itself is fine. However, I actually only needed to use 1 of the 4 provided so the price was expensive!! I could have bought a wider gate for similar to be honest!!

Initially thought this product expensive compared to similar products but on arrival could see how much sturdier and well made it looked. VERY easy to install and no drilling needed. Can also be used horizontally or vertically depending on your space / stair posts etc. Having had a recent accident at daughters where the stairgate came off the wall I wanted to be sure same wouldn't happen again. I think these will be much better .

With a freshly decorated hallway I didn't want a stair gate that meant drilling holes in my walls. The gate only being used when the granddaughter visited, so I bought a pressure fitted gate. These extenders are prefect for that extra inch I needed either side. The stair gate fits snugly into the extenders and they are very sturdy. Nice rubber backs to protect my paintwork and wallpaper. Quick to fit and quick to take down. Definitely recommend.

This block does the exact job and provides the support needed. Unfortunately, I think that the company who makes them has a patent on this product as you cannot find any other product that is similar and cheaper. Whilst I like the product, the cost is excessive - almost the same cost as the baby gate in the first place. If cost is important and aesthetics are not important you could use a small block of wood with a piece of felt stuck to one side.

Not usually one for leaving reviews but the reviews for this product helped me take the plunge despite the high cost. A game changer after 2 previous v. sweary episodes installing our gate only for it to be kicked down accidentally by 2 different grandparents. Gate is now much safer and more secure and the installation took minutes rather than hours. Saved us the hassle of drilling into thick brick walls in our rental property so well worth it for us.

We had to move the location of the baby gate we use to keep our dog from eating the cat’s food, and found it was a few inches too short. I did not want to buy a new baby gate and these extenders worked perfectly so now the baby gate fits in our hallway. The back of these extenders is very non-slip so I’m not worried about the gate falling or becoming unstable and it was pretty easy for me to install them by myself in about 10 minutes, though it would definitely go faster and easier with 2 people. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

The house we move it. The hallway just a bit too wide. This is perfect. Because the gate extends was too wide will not fit. Bur just the original gate is too small. It is strong enough when you put it the gate will hold up. My 3 year old can shake on it and will not move, and one who are older than 3 are not recommended to shake it at least not full body weight.

These were perfect for what I need. I received a returned item im pretty sure as it was in a clear bag with no label or anything, but the item itself was in good condition so that wasn't a problem. We have a wider than usual hallway, and it's a newly renovated rental so they don't want us putting holes in the wall. I was able to find a pressure mounted gate that fits perfectly using these!
