Panasonic 1500W Advanced Titanium Coated Sole Plate, Vertical Steam/Dry Iron, Standard, Blue/White

Heats up fairly quick and is lightweight, easy to handle. One thing a little different from other irons I've used, is that the heat setting indicator is on the bottom of the dial. It's molded in the plastic water reservoir body and is hard to see. I put a white mark on it. That could be the reason for bad heat reviews from other purchasers. I use this for fusing fabric with Mistyfuse and it works great. I haven't had a mess to clean the soleplate yet but it's much more fluid moving across my Teflon heat protector sheets. The cord is a good length. If you want a generous steam iron you may want to select one with more steam holes, but this is perfect for my use.

This iron has worked well so far, although I have only used it lightly. It reaches operating temperature quickly. I am very pleased with my purchase. The steaming function with the unit held vertically works very well, although I don't have any experience with dedicated hand-held steamers. The weight before adding water to the reservoir on my digital scale is 1 pound, 12 ounces; it's fairly lightweight for it's size.

I like this iron because it's fairly small and lightweight, even when the water level is high. It has two steam settings that work very well and heats up quickly. The water reservoir is easy to fill. It does not have an automatic shut-off and that's a good thing for me. I'm using it mainly to make masks to sell and my previous iron was a "Smart" iron that was extremely annoying because it kept turning off when left idle for 8 minutes. It would also shut off if it was left down on the fabric for 30 seconds so ironing a lot of small pieces of fabric would take longer because I had to keep setting it upright. I specifically picked this one because it was not "Smart".

When the first one quit after three weeks I returned it and was foolish enough to order the same piece of junk, now, two days after the return window has closed the second one has quit! DON'T BUY THIS IRON!!!!!!!!!! '

The power cable is so clumsy.

Very lightweight. Heats up quickly. I like that you can manually shut it off with the dial. Great iron for the price. I can't comment on the steam function as I don't use it; I use a plastic spray bottle of water to mist the fabric first. That has always worked much better than any steam function; I wish iron makers would stop adding the steam function and save weight and cost.

Just like all Panasonic products. I’m loving it. Big tank for water. Irons all types of clothes well.

Good iron heats up fast, has 3 different controls and good at getting the wrinkles out.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and there is a level of deformity in my hands. When I found this iron, I was very happy because it is lightweight and easy to handle and I feel comfortable and secure using it. It’s also very easy to use, not like it would be overly difficult to start with. It does a great a great job and is very well made for what I need because Panasonic is a well trusted name.
