A gift for when you have no words for someone's pain
I have given this book as a gift to many people who are grieving. Those are times when my words are never enough, but this book says what the heart needs to hear. It was given to me when I was grieving, and just reading the words in the book provided me with solace and comfort.

Wonderful, spiritual, soulful…
I love how the author brings our attention to the nuances of words/language and gives us his interpretation of each word.I could read it many times, so much to reflect upon. Here is one of my favorite passages:”BEAUTY is the harvest of presence, the evanescent moment of seeing or hearing on the outside what already lives far inside us; the eyes, the ears or the imagination suddenly become a bridge between the here and the there, between then and now, between the inside and the outside; beauty is the conversation between what we think is happening outside in the world and what is just about to occur far inside us.”

Great books but damaged....
The book is excellent; however the boxes in the two book's I have ordered through Amazon were bent the top or the book or on the book binding.

Great author wonderfully written. Low quality materials.
I love the book and the author. I can't stand the quality of the actual book materials. I'd love to buy a copy for everyone in my family but I can't bring myself to as the book quality is so cheap. This is the type of book you go to and repeatedly read and bring with you everywhere but it falls apart very quickly.

Stellar! Worthy of real parchment, ink and solid binding!
This is one of my favorite books of all time and I purchased several copies as gifts for my dearest friends. So sad though the the hard bound version is so poorly printed on paper hardly worthy of a recycled paperback. So many misprints and the binding weak and cracking. I would really enjoy having these thoughtful poems traditionally printed on real parchment and gloriously bound.
