Great brand
Their sizing is just like Arena. My waist is 29.5" and size 30 fit perfectly. The inseam length is preferred: not too narrow like a thong and not too wide like a diaper. Ideal coverage. I feel great in them, they do look flattering. They are comfortable with lap swimming, keeps everything in place. Decent price and quality. Love that they are super quick drying. Functionally is solid for casual and lap swimming! I got 2 colors: black and navy. They need more colors!

Best Nylon/Lycra suit for the price
I own several polyester swimsuits but wanted to buy one of these Nylon/Lycra swimsuits because they fit and feel the best.As for this swimsuit, I love it. I bought royal which is pretty bright. If you are really shy I would recommend buying a darker color. Your junk is going to be somewhat obvious, mainly when getting out of the pool and depending on how worn your suit is. But once again, if you're shy about that, buy a dark color or don't wear a brief in the first place. For sizing, I bought one size smaller than what I normally wear. These Nylon/Lycra suits will degrade and stretch more over time so it is to your advantage to buy a size down. I normally wear size 32 but found a size 30 in this suit to fit the best. Do NOT buy a size up! The fabric feels great. It stretches to your body much better than polyester swimsuits. It is tight enough to hold everything in place without hurting anything. Just beware this is a Nylon/Lycra swimsuit. It will wear out faster than polyester, and you will have to replace it. If $30 every couple months isn't a big deal, I would recommend this because the material feels the best. Just make sure to rinse it and hang it up to dry after swimming. The drawstring is a flat cord which is much easier to use and feels much better than Speedo's circular drawstrings. TYR is also a company with a good reputation so you cannot go wrong with buying this. This TYR Racer style brief has a great cut on the side. It's about 2.75 inches wide on the side which isn't awkwardly short like a bikini, and it isn't so wide that it's like some weird square-leg swimsuit. Expect to get a couple months out of this suit with frequent, weekly lap swimming, as long as it is rinsed and hung to dry after each swim.

Decent value
Good fit, lasts 30-40 hours of swimming in a medium-chlorinated pool.

Good quality and fit.
I'm an avid SCUBA diver. I bought this brief swimsuit to wear under my wetsuit. I like the minimalist design in order to avoid the bulkiness of wearing board shorts or similar shorts that would bunch up under my wetsuit. Comfortable fit and quality construction, not to mention they look great on me as too. I wear 32 waist x 34 inseam jeans, but I bought a 34 waist to avoid being overly tight in groin. Yes, they're skimpy, but they work great when wearing under a tight wetsuit.

Love these briefs!
I have these in both black and royal and have been impressed with the color retention and how well the fabric has held up. I swim two to three times a week in chlorinated water. The suit fits really well, with a sleek cut that is conservative enough. I like wearing these briefs because they drastically reduce drag in the water vs. board shorts and keep everything in place when getting out of the water (better than a square leg suit). I have a couple of Speedo basic briefs and these Tyr briefs seem to be cut higher in the leg and and can be pulled up higher on the waist, giving a better fit. The flat cord drawstring also seems to stay more secure than the round Speedo drawstring.

Lost its color in couple of months
I like TYR swimsuits. Good quality. But this particular brief is not that good. Just compare color on the photo: this one after 2 months, then Durafast after 1 year, then new Durafast. I would expect a replacement from TYR...

Premium Fit and Comfortability in Open Water
Lifelong Speedo customer trying TYR for the first time, and I finally see what I've been missing out. Unlike Speedo's PowerFlex Eco, TYR's fit is true to size and does not "ride up," making it much more comfortable in and out of the water. Using a similar ratio of the Xtra Life Lycra and Nylon material that Speedo's PowerFlex Eco also uses, this suit is as close as I can get to feeling like a second skin and will neither fall off or compress you while swimming. I swim in open water so I have no issues with chlorine damaging the suit. Rinse in cool water, hang dry, and it's ready to go for another swim. If I had to nitpick one thing, it's that one day I hope that the tags in the back of the suit will be removed and that the necessary information is printed inside instead. Update 4/9/25: They did it. They removed the tags and printed the information inside. Huzzah. Perfect product.

I usually wear 29,30 and I firstly ordered size 30 for this swim suit but it was too small for me. I've then returned it and ordered size 32 and it fits perfectly. Nice discreet black swim suit, just how i wanted it.

It says in the description these are compression for competition swimming. They are compression with no mercy on the boys, I can’t wear them in the water for too long because of this. They are good quality though just too tight in the front.
