Is it work on roof and walls or just roof ?

This measuring tool is excellent on concrete walls, slabs, whether below ground, above ground or ground level. Also, Gypsum materials like DensGlass Gold and 1Hr or 2Hr gypsum board- just make sure you're reading the correct scale for material being measured. It has the spring loaded contact pins on the bottom which you must press fully for at least two seconds. The Tramex ME5 (Moisture Encounter 5) is very versatile. It can do wood at shallow and deep depth, drywall, masonry block and brick. It has two rubber pads on the bottom. Just remove all loose particles and press firmly, noting the lighted selector for material measuring. I've been using these for 15 years. Very reliable and industry noteworthy. Even though I work as a Q/A Inspector for installation and repair of coatings, and roofing systems, I purchased these on my own. They are That important.

What is the difference between cme5 and cme4? they both seems to be same price and 4 seems to be more upfront with less complicated panel

Hello, The CME4 is a discontinued product that is still available and has been replaced by the CME5. Eventually, the CME4 will be completely phased out. That is why they are the same price. The CME5 is the exact same technology but also allows you to capture your measurements and map them via bluetooth with the Tramex meters app. for reports and documentation. 1) what is the main difference between the cme5 and the me5? 2) can the cme5 do everything that the me5 can do?

Hello, The CME5 is for concrete only, (&Gypsum floor screed), nothing else. The ME5 is for everything but concrete or concrete type materials. For an accurate measurement of the surface of a concrete slab or floor screed the meter requires a special/different calibration for concrete due to its high moisture content. This is such a big difference that it is not possible to make a meter that can do both ACCURATELY. That is the big difference here. Some others will claim they have a meter that can do both but that meter will only give you a relative number as apposed to a more accurate moisture level of the material like the Tramex meters do. And the Tramex meters all come with a certificate of calibration where as most other manufacturers do not. InspectorTools Customer Service
