Husband wanted this for birthday
My husband has noted this radio for his dodge truck. He liked the big screen and all the functions. The screen is very pretty and easy to read. The back camera and front camera are clean. The install kit and the xm chip were extra but worth it. We had it professionally installed and it looks natural in his dodge truck.

Very nice unit
Works great , very nice sound quality, had a kenwood touch screen unit , blows that unit away , last step to snap the unit in was a little difficult , was just afraid to push on it to hard but finally got it , looks great in my opinion thought it would b a Distraction at night but it’s not , does leave a lot of finger prints that you can see when it’s off but over all I like it a lot , just wish it was water proof ! At least the ones for the Jeep Wrangler!

Excellent features and build quality, but build is already dated if you want a modern look
I opted for the flush look and kit, installation was pretty simple as the wiring harness made for simple plug and play, however one thing to note, if you install and get no sound unhook the "amplified" and hook into "not amplified", mine came already hooked into "amplified", don't assume if you have a subwoofer that you have an amplified system. I contacted customer support, but correctly diagnosed the problem of "no sound" myself. Another issue I ran into was snapping the unit into place, let me say this "it is not simple" and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if someone didn't trash their screen trying to complete this process, after trying for 30 minutes and sweating profusely, I finally gave up and just settled for inserting 3 of the 4 screws into place and leaving it at that. Snapping the unit in is insanely ridiculous and the most cumbersome part of the install, a feat which I never achieved, but the was still stable and securely fastened to the dash with just the screws holding, so no worries there. So after everything was installed I immediately didn't like the look, it seemed to stick up and out too far and already looked dated by today's standards, the problem it interrupts the aesthetics of the dash as it looks like an external command center more than a natural part of the dash or in other words it looks like a "hexagon" box sitting on top of the dash. Floating screens in today's vehicle are thin, this unit seems unnecessarily thick. So the next day I decided to take everything lose and try the floating look, as the "box look" was seriously messing with my "perfectionist" mindset. So after taking everything back a loose and installing the floating look I quickly found that I didn't care for it sticking out as much as it did, so to make a long story short I improvised and self-mounted the unit to my dash thus achieving the perfect height and getting as close to a genuine flush to the dash as I could, perfect!! I bought this unit at a discounted price as it was a warehouse deal, so I'm proud to say for what's being offered out there, which are either expensive well-known units at or over $1K or cheap unknown companies with glitchy screens, glitchy signals and a plethora of other problems, this unit is almost perfect considering the price the look and the features.

Great replacement
Love the large screen. Functions are nice. I did the igo navigation but the GPS signal keeps going in and out. May have to relocate module to a higher position.

nice when it works
Radio seems to work great. otherwise....... I ordered flush dash mount kit, backup and side mount cameras also. Very challenging to install. Instructions poor. and in some cases nonexistant, took alot of research. online videos were mostly about running wires and dash dismantling company website had little useful to help. first order had wrong parts so took weeks to get right stuff from company the screen will at times turn grey requiring reboot. the camera, all three, will turn thee screen to static with 5 little picture from the camera at the top. support said they have seen this before but no idea why happens and the answer every time have called is to reboot. at times camera image will freeze, dangeros while backing up or changing lanes happens multiple times a day to every few days android phone/apple, tired both, at times turn screen and also requires reboot. its to point going to only use as radio, very very expensive radio, full of functions that cant be relied on to work. cant recommend anyone purchase. and if you do, dont install yourself

Decent unit, but same old CarPlay/AA issues
I want to love this unit, there is a lot going on here. Here is what I like: + 10" capacitive screen at 600p is decent compared to other large screens at 480p + Decently responsive, not OE level, but over all good + 4 cameras with 12v switching and a good UI to control them on demand + UI isn't absolutely ugly and easy to navigate, a low bar in this industry + Seems like it has audiophile level audio, but that's not super important to me, it just needs to be as good or better than stock + Support is friendly and reachable by phone, but has their limitations With all these pluses, it's hard for me to decide if I should return this unit because here are some deal breakers for me: - CarPlay and Android Auto are pretty bad. Performance is noticeably laggy at times. The resolution fed into the device appears to be the appropriate 600p (I took screenshots to confirm) - HOWEVER - the unit looks like it's rendering it at 480p which is then upsampled to fit the 600p display. Further the colors are washed out making Apple Maps hard to see during the day, with Google Maps, Waze, and Sygic slightly more visible but still not correct. So... it's pixelated, fuzzy, poor colors, and hard to see compared to the core UI of the unit. The images on this Amazon listing are likely photoshopped, not actual representative of the quality you will receive. - It's really a very expensive Android head unit... It's running Android 4.4.2 and I suspect Stinger/AAMP are beholden to a remote development team and not doing software updates and feature themselves. That matters these days. Further, if you are getting an Android head unit you might as well get full access. Not so here, it's locked down. - Camera view does not have color controls or ability to add guidelines - The hardware button back lighting is cheap, almost pastel. It's hard to get a punchy saturated color making it hard to match your OE LEDs. - The << and >> buttons are not reassignable and I will never touch them. I wish it was assignable or able to open CP/AA, nav, cameras, etc. Literally anything more useful. - Thick bezels make the unit appear larger than it really is. - No iDatalink (because it's parent company owns PAC) At the end of the day this unit has the hardware, but the SOFTWARE is really mediocre for a list price of $1,000. They have released an u update on 5-1-2020, but the build data is actually 4-17-2020. I called support about these problems and they suggested that after trying more phones, more cables, more factory resets that the unit is simply defective. I don't buy that - this appears to be a true software issue, a limitation of the unit. It doesn't matter if you have "16.7 million" color display if you cannot actually render CarPlay/Android Auto in full fidelity. Similar to the Alpine Halo 9 (iLX-F309) the real failure is the software. Neither device has met my expectations.

Much Needed Upgrade
I absolutely love this head unit. When I was looking to upgrade all that was out was the Insane Audio head unit and I could not look past the bezzle and just how out of place the head unit looked. When I saw the Stinger head unit and just how seamless it seemed to fit with the Jeep dash I knew I was going to get this set up. Out of the box and the simple plug and play connections this radio has made it a no brainer. With the other products the Stinger family has to offer and the expandability this unit has makes it an easy decision.

Not worth the money
The initial build quality seems to be good. The problems are in the functions of the unit. Starting at the main menu that is not customizable at all. I am completely stuck with the icons whether or not I need them or not. Should be able to sort in order I deem important. In the sirius input one would assume that in your presets that it would be able to start from the beginning of the song when you change to that station, but no. All other brands at this price point allow for this. Also the obnoxious sxm logo that is white is too bright at night. They didn't write in album artwork to be in the screen. Also can not save favorite songs or artists. Once again better brands allow this at this price. In addition the lights do not dim with vehicle setting, they have a day and night mode that can be adjusted in itself but not adjusted with dimmer on vehicle. I do like the knob on the front and the buttons. The fit and finish after installed look good. I can not recommend this unit unless they drop the price to under 500 or fix inadequate features for the price I paid.
