Harry Potter -- Sheet Music from the Complete Film Series: Big Note Piano

Maybe I am wrong in my expectations but I generally consider big note to be fairly basic, and a step somewhat beyond 5 finger and before easy... an early, early intermediate. That was not the case with this book, which I purchased for a 7 year old with 3 years of lessons. I bought this book and another publisher' early intermediate book, thinking that would be a back up in case this was too simple. Turns out that book is the simpler arrangements overall.

This music is definitely simplified, but it doesn't sound overly simple. I bought it for my son (age 9). He's been taking piano off and on for about four years. He cannot simply sit down and play the music, but he can play it with some effort and practice. It is nice to have some sheet music he is excited about.

Nice arrangement of music with a wide variety of skill levels. My daughter who is starting her 3rd year of piano could play a few popular easier songs in the book.

Easy to learn

It's as advertised a book of sheet music from the Harry Potter movies. My daughters love it and find it easy to use. I save 5 star ratings for items that perform beyond expectations.

My students like these, but they are a bit complicated for the young students.

This is a beautiful book with a great assortment of pieces! Unfortunately I assumed "Big Note" would mean much simpler versions. Some are fine but many are tricky either in tempo or rhythm and not for a beginning piano player. My grandson (9) loves the music and has doggedly stuck with it to learn his favorites, but it has been a challenge and probably more frustration than was necessary. Fortunately his older sister is also enjoying the book without the frustration. I will look a bit more closely next time I buy a book, but this one is definitely worth having.

This is a great book, it has so many songs and it's not too hard. Good for intermediate players.

Was a gift and the gifted is still very happy with it. That's what one wants, right?

This book is perfect for me. I am a newbie learning piano. I wanted to work on something challenging, not so challeging that I wouldnt even be able to figure it out at all but not so easy that I get bored. I would say this book is probably a bit hard for novices, but if you are like me and need a little bit of frusteration to keep your interest this might be the right book for you too. The 'ah ha!" moments when you hear the familiar music start to play from your hands makes the frusteration so worth it.

Spiele das zweite Jahr Klavier und kann alle Stücke spielen.(Großteils vom Blatt)Leider sind einige Stücke sehr kurz, man spiel nur die Hautmelodie.Würde sagen es sind die bekanntesten Melodien aus den Filmen.Insgesamt war es den Kauf aber Wert :)
