Blundstone Men's Classic 550 Series Chelsea Boot

These are fantastic boots, so I can’t give less than a 5-star rating. But be warned - the Steel Grey looks absolutely nothing like the photograph in reality. It’s a much darker, almost brown, shinier leather look, rather than the light grey nubuck look that the image appears to be. I returned for a different colour.

The product arrived on time and in perfect condition. As always with Blundstones, I was able to use them straight away and the fit was perfect. I am a size 8 and it was true to size. Would highly recommend.

The shoe size is too big so go a size down

Do not trust the colours on the Amazon site. They are incorrect.

I have wide feet so I always get Australian made boots because they have that nice "+1/2 size = same length but wider" sizing system. My brand of choice has always been Redback, but I have been wearing my current pair for 4 1/2 years... still usable, but it was time to buy a new pair. To my disappointment though, I discovered that the price on Amazon is now £135 + £13 shipping, so I decided to try their main 'competitor', Blundstones. These are also overpriced (some sizes/colours combinations up to £145 or even more!), but these "Antique Brown" in size 8.5 were £86 w/free shipping. The colour was lighter (especially in daylight - photo) than described, but after a liberal application of good Dubbin they immediately darkened to a beautiful deep chocolate brown. They fit well and seem well made. Compared to my chunky Redbacks, they look much more sleek and dressy, they are also lighter (570g vs 670g - less rubber and thinner leather). They are not as rugged or grippy, and I don't think that they will last nearly 5 years. But I am converted to Blundstones now since I can wear the boots in social situations without looking like a farmer or a welder.

I ordered a half size up as I knew I would be wearing socks with them for fall and winter. Very comfortable and feels like I have had them for years. No breaking in needed.
