Wow, an anime made for me. A great bridge from the present day off plastic models to a fantastic world of magically driven armor. I like how the world is doled out, episode by episode. Mom as narrator definitely gives comfort balance to the growing threat. That said, the story throws out a ton of red herrings. Betrayal? Jealousy? Nope, positivity. The world building is on the high fantasy side. The character designs range through the standard tropes, but the inclusion of dwarves is interesting. There are small touches that really stood our for me, world elements like sand bags in the training area, style elements like breastplates used in the cockpits, and story/character elements like our main character doodling during history/government class. Art is solid, with a good mix of CG and more traditional. The music within the episodes hit the proper beats, accenting the action mostly. Not a fan of the pop music at the opening or closing. This is a very positive anime that is of consistent high quality. It ramps up, with new mecha, and plenty of little arcs being fulfilled. It's really only the main character, himself, that doesn't change: It's his energy that propels everything, including the enemy stealing his work. It will be interesting to see if there is a second series. Just how can they keep escalating things? If there's anything to not like, it's the lack of real teeth in this anime. The stakes are raised, but the overwhelming momentum of positivity removed any fear that I had. But if this is the new Saturday morning cartoon incarnation, then it isn't bad at all. I couldn't stop watching it. Is it an instant classic, worthy of full stars? Yes. I would watch it again for the mecha designs, world and vibes. Lots to explore here. Dwarves that aren't typical. Elves even more out there. Great stuff. And I'm glad there's a manga to check out. More!

Good quality
Already saw the show on a steaming service so it was good enough to for me at least. The disks run fine and the audio and video are good quality.

Magic and mechs has it been done before? Yes.
This is a great mech anime. Some viewers may even relate to the mecha otaku(fan) of a protagonist Ernest. If you are looking for an anime about logistics this is one of them. If you are here from SRW30(featured), it won't disappoint. It should have been a 24+ ep anime cause it has great potential to hold up until the actual end. This anime will leave you with a complete feeling while at the same time having you want more episodes to run the whole story. To continue past the anime you will need to read the light novel as I don't know where the manga is stopping at. The light novel's portion made it into SRW.

A Unique Isekai full of Mechs
So I love this anime. The main character is driven by his love of mechs in a way that literally nothing else matters. Eventually the struggle of romance and politics shows up, but his answer is always his hobby. He puts it above all else and no one really knows what to do with him, so they get swept along. This anime has a little bit of everything, but it doesn't have long drawn out drama sequences, which is very refreshing. It's just a fun anime about a man who loves mechs.

Quite enjoyable!
I watched this on Crunchyroll and loved it so when I saw it on here and at a decent price, I just had to buy it. It is the story of a man who collects robot models to build and dies on the way home only to be reincarnated as a young boy on another world where giant mechs are used in combat! His love of anything remotely connected to robots is just what stirs his soul and in this new life he plans on fulfilling his hobby to its highest level. Watch as he shakes up the kingdom with his innovative ideas and designs. A true funfest for the whole family to enjoy!

Digital Code Isnt Even Active
I opened the package up went to the site, set up a funimation account, typed in the code and it said it wasn't even activated yet. Im not sure if it is a problem with this one copy or with all of them in general I just know I was rather disappointed by that as my laptop doesnt have a disc drive on it so I was planning to watch it digitally.

I love this anime
This series is amazing! This is one of those anime's I love to pieces. The music, the story, the characters and animation all just work together so well.My only annoyance is that they squeezed so much story and plot into so few episodes. (The series runs to 13 episodes) It could have easily filled up 26 episodes and still had stories to tell.I would love to track down a Light Novel or Manga upon which this series is based upon - if anyone reading this can point me at an English translation of either I will shower you with praise. There are two audio tracks available on these discs Japanese and English as well as English subtitles. This particular Blu-Ray contains 2x Blu-Ray discs as well as 2x DVD discs. There is also a slip of paper with a code for a Funimation digital copy included - but I have been unable to redeem it online. (No idea if it's because the code has expired, not available in the UK or the Digital copy service is no longer active.)I can confirm that the Blu-Ray discs play without problem on my UK Blu-Ray player despite this being a US import. (Loading took a bit longer than normal, but once complete it all worked fine)Annoying note: the Case arrived damaged, shattered in a few places only being held together by the card sleeve - but all of the discs are still ok.

better than expected.
Great story, and action. I didn't like that the case was damaged( the entire spine was broken. you could tell there was something wrong just by listening to the sound of the broken pieces rattling around in the case.
