Great set of shears
Great little set of pruning shears. I'd prefer that they didn't have the gold coating but for the money they are perfect.

Great valeue and easy to use
These are great for pruning and taking of fruit/vegetables. I have paid serious money for pruning shears and they crap out, I still have two pair of these from last year that work great. They a great for small spaces so you don't damage produce.

Very sharp and great value
Like several other reviewers, my previous clippers were Fiskars - five times more expensive and only lasted two years with minimal use. These are a super duper great value - the six pack gets the price down to less than $4 a pair, so I can give a pair to my mother and sister and still have plenty for my own needs. I opened the box while watching TV the night it arrived and played with the clippers for a bit. When I looked over at my husband I could see the random beard whiskers sticking out - the ones that appear after showering post beard cutting. I recalled one reviewer saying they were sharp enough to cut hair, so I went after his beard. They did an awesome job! Much faster with the spring mechanism, and easier to work than the beard scissors. He was not terribly amused that I was "pruning" him, but hey, better than letting him run around looking shaggy. I've been picking the tiny broccoli heads - the side shoots of the side shoots of the summer heads (I know, I should have pulled out the plants in the fall, but they kept growing these little pieces) but my thumb nail was getting ragged. I started using these sharp little clippers and got four cups of tiny broccoli heads in no time. Easy stir fry! Don't know how long they will last, or if they will be hard to clean when they get gunky. But for the price I can use them, abuse them, lose them, and buy some more.

I like these better than the name brand alternative and you get 3 for the price of one. See update.
I grow most of our veggies and herbs in our basement under lights, and this is one of my most used pruning snips. I use them for harvesting tomatoes, veggie greens, and for removing dead leaves from plants. In the past, I have bought the name brand snips thinking they must be better than the less expensive ones. Boy, was I wrong!! I actually like this brand better. It is just as sharp as the name brand, and the clip that holds the snips closed, which I seldom use, holds better and lasts longer. The main things that break on any snips are the spring, and the clip that holds the blades closed. Eventually, one of these will go no matter what snips you buy. I have had both go on the more expensive brand. Once the spring goes, the snips are useless. In my opinion, getting 3 for the price of one is the better option. Plus, I have backup snips when one breaks, which they all do. These snips are sharp and do the job. having extras is an added benefit, and I do recommend these vs. the name brand. UPDATE 02/03/26: Having used these pruning shears for a while, I found that I had to be careful how I held them to prevent them pinching my hand under my forefinger and causing a blood blister. In the past, I have used Fiskars pruning shears that were similar in design, and this never happened. In comparing the two brands, I believe this is caused by the placement of the spring and locking mechanism. On the Fiskars, the spring is behind (closer to the end of the handle) and on this pruning shears the spring is in front of the spring. I think my hand is being pinched by the placement of the locking mechanism. Whatever the cause, I disposed of these shears/snips, and went back to using those made by Fiskars. Saving a couple of bucks wasn't worth the pain and healing time of the blood blisters these shears/snips were causing. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Just OK
The small trimmers work great but the large ones to not cut very well. They seem a little flimsy and the lock is difficult to use.

Exactly as advertised, these pruners were easy to use, and ideal for trimming our marijuana plants. As I'm new to this experience, I bought these on advice of a friend, as she said they easily get into the leaves because of the curved blades, and makes the task of trimming the sugar leaves away from the bud, very efficient. The pruners were also very sharp, did not get dull, and are easy to clean with a bit of nail polish remover (to remove the resin build up). I will definitely use them next year, and cannot recommend them enough (don't even think about trying to use scissors)!
