Grannicks Bitter Apple Taste Deterrent for Dogs (New Version)

Dog has a wood kennel and would chew the edges almost daily. Easily sprayed this everywhere and she has not chewed once. Smells a little weird at first but goes away quick and works very well.

This product was initially recommended by my trainer for my dog to stop chewing socks, but we went with a different brand first. The first brand didn’t work for us, but this one worked like a charm! Every dog has different tastes, so take your chances carefully. We have a year old Golden Retriever that now won’t chew socks because of two bad experiences of picking them up with grannick’s sprayed on them.

I use for training my dog what is right/acceptable or wrong/not acceptable.

This product didn’t deter my puppy, he licked it and kept licking it like it was candy.

Works temporarily at best to keep my ferret from chewing on furniture.

This has worked for my cat with pica. I have a cat who constantly seeks out fabric. While it isn’t possible to spray everything, we use this on the things we can’t keep put away like the couch and curtains. He has chewed on these things in the past when no other fabric was an option and this has fully stopped it. I spray his favorite spots of the couch and curtains once every 3 days any I’ve watched him go to chew on them and quickly change his mind. Every animal is different but this has really helped us. He’s had one surgery and several close calls in the past so this is a game changer for us.

Used this when my last dog was a puppy and it worked wonders. She never tried to chew anything this was sprayed on again. Got a different kind for my two current puppies and it had some kind of blowback effect where you would end up breathing in nastiness and it didn’t help at all. I thought I just had stubborn puppies. Turns out, I just needed this brand again. Works wonders to keep the pups from chewing my chairs, the cat towers, the cabinets…. (Yes, they have a plethora of chew toys but those apparently aren’t as fun). Definitely recommend for new puppy parents.
