Mansion on ice
This thing is sweet. Anything less than 5 stars unless it arrived damaged is just being petty. First off I'm coming from using a 2 person flip tarp shanty thats lasted years, so I don't have experience with the other big name brands that cost 2x+ as much, but this thing is the bomb. I was expecting cheapo paper thin fabric material but this thing feels and looks like it should cost just as much as the other brands. Had it set up in less than 1 minute without reading the instructions, granted it was inside a heated garage but it's as simple as laying it out and popping out the centers of the panels. 2 fabric doors with no outer support on each corner with 2 zippers and a cover that goes over the outside zip to keep wind and ice out. The skirt is an awesome bonus to keep the wind out as well, throw some snow on it and youll be toasty. Single stitching on most of it but no loose threads and the feet and areas where you pop out the panels are solid metal and is firm enough that it wont get blown in on itself. Pictures do not do justice on the size. You can fit your family in here for Thanksgiving dinner. That being said if you're expecting it to be easy to carry it does have some weight to it (maybe 30-35 lbs), the bag it comes with is the cheapest part of it all and looks like the straps won't hold up to too much abuse, but if you plan on throwing it on a sled like 90% of people that ice fish you'll be fine. It is not insulated but a buddy heater and a few beers you'll be fine grow up. On top of how nice the shanty is, it includes the hardware and rope to strap it down! Get this to piss off your buddy that paid twice as much so he could say "bUt I hAvE aN eSkImO." And no I wasn't paid for this review it's that nice. Update: got out on the ice today with 25+ mph wind gusts. Definitely need to strap this thing down and have a good pair of ice cleats on, at first dragged me about 30 ft along the ice and blowing the carrying bag across the lake after trying to pop up a side. Ended up getting a stake in one of the corners and working around before popping up anything (you need a drill to make a hole first then screw the stake in, actually bought the ryobi hammer drill with the auger adapter, works great). Once all 6 grommets on the base were staked I popped out one side at a time and tied them off with the rope included. Once strapped down I had no issues. Would definitely help if I had an extra person but after doing it once by myself in the wind I don't think I'll have as much of a problem next time around. Still a 5 star shanty, little buddy heater kept me warm all day. Only recommendation would be buy extra rope to tie the walls out so they don't blow in, maybe even short bungee cords to make it quick. Also wish there was a metal grommet in the center of the ends to keep the skirt down since I didnt have any snow to pile on it.

Really solid tend for the price, highly recommend for casual ice fishing
I loved this shelter. I don't go ice fishing every weekend in the winter, I usually take 1 big trip up north, and my group of 4 have been shoving ourselves into a smaller 4 person tent for the last few years. This past trip I decided to look at affordable, larger, shelters so we had a bit more room. There's a lot of options in this arena and I settled on this unit because it seemed to have a lot of positive reviews and had a lot of features for the price. It comes in a pretty larger carry case and it folds up after use to fit back in the case. So that was nice. It's pretty heavy, lugging it around on the straps was doable but I wouldn't expect to do that over any long distances. Much easier to transport on a sled or vehicle. Inside it's HUGE. We could easily fit 4 people on one side of the tent and have a whole line of holes on the other side. Worked out extremely well for our part of 4. The windows are great, vents are great, has two doors on opposite corners; which was awesome when we were all inside so you didn't have to step over lines. The material is somewhat thick. It's not insulated and it's not basic tent material. It's like a thick canvas (but not canvas). We did get a bit of snow while we were there and it held up fine. It comes with all the anchors and tie downs as well.

Great purchase (uninsulated version)
This ice shack is easy to put up and take down and only requires a few minutes. It works best being set up with two people especially when it's windy. It has two vents, one on each end of the shack about 4x4 in size. Two doors on opposite corners. 6 windows that have a Velcro cover and the windows themselves Velcro into place. There are 6 grommets for the T hooks to screw into the ice. I would highly recommend getting separate washers so you don't damage the grommets or break them. It comes with only 4 tie downs which do work great, however 6 tie downs for windy days would be wonderful. It also comes with 12 T anchors. I would HIGHLY recommend getting the drill attachment, it makes the process for screwing the T hooks in a lot easier. There are some small pinholes around the stitching throughout the tent but this is to be expected and easily fixable with some rubber paint or black glue. It definitely works as a great shack to get out of the wind and remains relatively heated if you have a buddy heater or a small stove in it. Plenty of room for your gear and 4 people with chairs. This was a great purchase for my ice fishing adventures.

Fyi...made in China.
Got it.. tried it and it is a sturdy well made product.. come in a nice carry bag and isn't as light weight as hoped.. but not bad if pulled in a sled.. come w plenty of ice anchors and tie down leads for when the wind whips up.. non insulated so a heat source is a must on windy cold days.. if you got that your golden. Plenty of room for 4 peeps on the husky (fat ass) side. Have only used once but am sure there alot of life left in it.. not bad to set up and take down.. one can do it two is a breeze.. would recommend to anyone looking for a decent ice tent at a fair price..

Yeah i know what you will think. I bought this for my basement, in case of a blackout. It was 11 degrees in the house the last time we had a blackout a few days ago and i said next time we will be ready. It was so easy to pop up, the walls are made strong and thick, its not a cheap tent. We tried it last night. I managed to have 15 degrees in my basement and... we were three and it was so hot in there. So it's really good. We put a queen bed and you could manage to put 2 others kinda of mattresses if not too wide. I wont test it on ice or snow but i think you wont be disapointed.

Only reason it's not 5 star is because it doesn't have a hole to feed the propane hose threw the wall like the big name huts BUT it does come with a damn nice case to put all the pegs in. I liked that. The bag to put the hut in is a little tighter than other so it's a little hard to put it away but overall great quality hut, just as good as my buddys clam and same size. Oh and the velcro strap they send it in will never fit back on but that's w.e

This tent is really great quality. Super warm. Super easy to put up and down. I’m guessing it’s the exact quality or better as the Eskimo tents but $200 cheaper. Only reason it didn’t get five stars is it didn’t have the full size door, but very few tents do. Other than that would highly recommend it.

Nice size, thin walls , sent mine back. Thought walls would be thicker

Only 4 stars because I've only set it up at home so far but the quality seems good and sturdy. I can see what some users say about the difficulty of putting it back in the bag, BUT I DID IT! If you buy this, you'll see what I mean.
