National Pickling Cukes - Super Happy so far!
I put together a fence-like system in a spare room to grow cukes for pickles in-doors over the winter. I have Boston Cukes which are growing just fine but take a lot of effort to pollinate to get actual cucumber. I knew this btw. Not a surprise, but...........Found this National Pickling brand as one of the few out there that are self-pollinating (no need for manual pollination) so I wanted to give them a try. I got these about 10 days ago and planted only one (1) seed to see if it would germinate. Two days later it had germinated and was out of the ground. One week later I had the second set of full leaves and it is a really strong seedling. I just transplanted it into a larger container and will move it to all the others.Assuming I do not have to pollinate these by hand (which is fun but gets old), they should be hassle free through the next few months. I took 4 more seeds and placed them in the other containers. If all goes as expected, these will be baring fruit while the others are dying off in the winter months.I just bought two more packs because at $2/per 50 seeds it is a good deal. Burpee would be charging a lot more.Unclear how ANYONE can say these are a waste of money or the package is so tiny. Mine came exactly how they are picture with the expected quantity and I expect the germination rate to be high as well.To the folks that are upset on getting 10-15 cukes to the plant and then it died off, this is the expected yield believe it or not. Look it up.."Depending on who you ask, a healthy cucumber plant can be expected to produce 10 large cukes or 15 small ones within a harvest period of about three weeks."I learn something new every day!

Plants came up in 3 days, not 5, you can almost watch them grow!
The seeds have been in the ground for 2 weeks now, the plants are 5" - 6" tall and have produced their 3rd set of leaves. Should have runners and blooms soon! The plants are a deep green color. I'm sure the cucumbers are going to be fantastic!

They germinate fast
I planted these indoors to move to my garden when the weather is a little nicer and out of everything I planted these were the first to sprout. It's been 2 weeks and they are already almost 3inches tall. Hopefully they have a good yield and I will definitely be buying them again next year.

Waste of money
Received these seed around March 29th, went to plant on April 22nd. Opened the packet and seeds appeared to be grounded. Maybe found 4 seeds that might be useful, but I doubt it.

These cucumbers are slow
The seeds grew intermittently. Some turned out great & others did not grow.
