The Complete Short Stories

Excellent value for an mp3 collection of one of our finest short story writers. The stories themselves are arranged chronologically; the only problem is that they are not named on the mp3 files, but it’s a fairly short task to name them when transferring them to your player. Readings are excellent, with the exception of Ric Jerrom. His readings are all over the place, his forced and exaggerated intonation entirely unsuited to Ballard’s subtleties. He sounds more like a Radio One DJ. That said, he only reads one in six so as a whole the collection remains a brilliant 63 hour listen despite Jerrom’s one star performance!

This audio book set consists of 98 stories on 5 mp3 CD's lasting 63 hours, that's over 12 hours per disc, however there was no track listing information, so I can't say whether they're in chronoligical order, or how long each story lasts, or whether each disc has a theme. There are 5 narrators, so overall it's extreamly good value.
