A must-have for any ragtime player
Bolcom is a master, blending classical technicality with the ragtime tradition. If you enjoy playing ragtime piano, this is a great collection to expand your technique and appreciation for what this musical genre is capable of. I highly, highly recommend.

For the pianist's library
I became interested in Bolcolm's Piano 'rags' by listening to the recording by John Murphy, and decided to get the score (Revised Edition). This is much more than a score; it contains a foreword by Bolcolm himself telling us the story of his ragtime pieces and his relationship with fellow musicians like Eubie Blake and William Albright. The book also contains some facsimiles of Bolcolm's handwritten scores, and includes two later ragtime pieces from 2008 and 2010. Edward Marks is a renowned music publisher, and the scores are well printed and readable. A recommended addition to the pianist's library, as Bolcolm's 'rags' are concert pieces worth to be studied and performed.

Some are very challenging but they are fun to play
What can I say. These, along with those of the late Bill Albright, are some of the most creative modern rags. Some are very challenging but they are fun to play.

Some great modern piano rags
This is a collection of piano rags -- some difficult -- that date back to the 1970s. Even though they were written long after the Great Ragtime Piano Era they still stand up to the classic rags published by John Stark: Joplin, Scott and Lamb.
