Perfect
Highly recommend. I have hiked hundred of miles in this boots by now. Through alpine environments, water, slick rocks, scree, etc. I've scaled in these. I have yet to try them with crampons. Personally, I tried 3 sizes. My normal shoe is 7.5-8 US. I tried 7.5 first, then 8 and then 8.5. Sizing up 1 size was best for me. I tried 1 half size up I find that after walking for several days multi hour days my feet swell and the boots feel tight and I can't wear thicker or padded wool socks if the shoes are too small. While they are comfortable out of the box, walking all day for multiple days on end on hard rocks does eventually cause pressure points that socks with appropriate thickness and padding can fix, but I can't wear thicker socks if I don't size up.

The boots appear to be well made, the lacing system is great as you can adjust them all the way to your toes. The boots are intended for Alpine walking but seem just as good on chalk downs and rugged footpaths; they have a good solid feel to them but are not heavy, less than 700gm each. The ankle cuff is very comfortable and the Vibram sole absorbs a lot of shocks (unlike some big brand Super Light boots I tried - my feet throbbed for 48 hours after a 10 mile walk in those). The Rapace needs little walking on, I wore them indoors for a couple of hours getting the insole / sock combination right and the following day I walked for 3 hours in them without any problems at all. I am so impressed with these boots I ordered a spare pair! One is none and two is one - as the saying goes.
