Got to try it
My favorite cheese. The taste reminds me of Carmel and the texture is smooth and creamy.

Uff-da, but that’s good
Love this cheese. It arrived just in time for lunch. This is the best value per block of cheese that I found on Amazon. I wondered how they would keep it chilled during shipping, but it arrived in an insulated box with an additional cold pack inside. Gotta go make a geitost open-faced sandwich now……

This is not Geitost, whatever it is.
I was born in Norway and grew up on Norwegian Geitost. It was frequently added to my school lunch sandwiches. Whatever this is, it is definitely NOT "Ekte Geitost" (Genuine Goat Cheese). On the 4 blocks I received it is clearly described as "Salty Caramel Cheese", whatever that may be. On each block, there is an image of a goat and the word "GOAT", but it doesn't say Goat Cheese anywhere. It is somewhat similar to "Brunost" (Brown Cheese) made from cow milk, not goat milk. It is cloyingly sweet and cannot be cut with a Norewgian cheese slicer. It is so soft that it messes up the slicer. If you store it in the fridge, it slices OK. When you eat it it sticks to the roof of your mouth, like peanut butter. "Brunost" cheese is a lot cheaper than Geitost, but was never soft like this. I first complained to Amazon and was told that this purchase is NOT returnable or refundable. But they suggested that I must email the seller before they can do anything to help. I emailed the seller and stated what I have said above. I asked for a refund, or - alternatively - a replacement shipment with real goat cheese. They replied that Ski Queen Geitost in red packages, is a blend of goat and cow milk, but that what they sell in blue packages is actually the real thing. I have had the Ski Queen many times in the past; It tasted like Ekte Geitost and had a firm texture. No problems with slicing. The seller replied that what they shipped was Genuine Goat Cheese and did not offer a refund or replacement. But today, Amazon informed me that the seller is now offering a refund, so it has ended well. However, claiming that "Salt Caramel Cheese" is the same a Genuine Goat Cheese goes way beyond simple misrepresentation. It borders on the fraudulent in my personal opinion.

A desert cheese
This Caramelized cheese is a wonderful treat. Scandinavian specialty cheese, not your standard cheese. It is sweet, with a rich flavor that is hard to describe. I put it on English Muffins, and Waffles (heart) with strawberries. People either love it or hate it,. but I love it.

Delicious
I am very familiar with Ski Queen brand and saw this is a “related”brand so gave it a try. In a taste test, I doubt I can tell a difference. A wonderful cheese.

Cheese is GREAT ... delivery sucked
It came a day later than stated and the cold pack was warm and the cheese was oily.

Exactly as ordered!
The gjetost not only came ahead of schedule but also extremely well packaged. The cheese was cool to the touch thanks to good insulation and a great cold pack.

Tastes not so great- too salty!
Does not taste like the one in the red wrapper. Too salty. Tried the first one - now I am stuck with the other 3 I can’t eat.
