It fits extremely tightly into the housing. The battery poles are position in such that when the battery is placed with the poles facing the front then the connecting cord is to short to reach the mother board. I turned the battery around with the pole facing the back then the tight fit keep ripping our the cord plug from the battery poles. I have to remove the black skid pad on the bottom of the battery housing to fit the battery inside the housing. Without the skid pad, the battery now fit loosely within the housing but the cord is still too short when the battery is placed with the pole facing the front. Since the battery fits looser inside the housing, I am now able to turn the battery around the pole facing the back of the machine and able to connect the power cord to the mother board. It appears to work fine currently. I am disappointed that I spent more money buy this battery advertise especially for the Precor EFX546i but had so much problem installing it. We have to see how long it lasts.
