Quality Clay Bar
As a person who enjoys detailing as a side hobby I grew to dislike claying cars especially family and friends cars that have never seen a clay bar in many years. For various reasons its one of my least favorite detailing steps. In the past I tried Meguiars Smooth Surface and Mothers California Gold, but neither worked that great. Meguiars clay was too stiff and didn't pick up much. Mothers was my go to for a while and even though it was decent it didn't work fast enough and would get too soft and tacky. In the end OTC clay bars weren't cutting it anymore. I usually get my better supplies from AG, ADS or at my local detailing shop but found decent prices here on Amazon. I debated between Griots and Meguiars Mild and eventually went with Meguiars. After using it I have to say this clay bar is awesome! I wanted an all purpose clay bar without being too aggressive to marr paint and this one exceeds my expectations. This makes the job faster as I now make less passes in order to get a smooth surface. I also like how it stays consistent and pliable unlike the Mothers where it would noticeably get softer and tackier as you kept molding it. For lubricant I use Optimum No Rinse (ONR) diluted to detailing strength, works great and cheap too. On a side note before I got the Meguiars Mild I tried using CarPro Iron X spray to speed up the process. Although it worked great it was kind of a hassle to spray, wait, and rinse. Now that I've used Meguiars Mild I no longer need Iron X unless its for tougher jobs. Meguiars Professional Detailing Clay is definitely worth trying out. Claying is essential to maintaining a vehicles paint so if you've never done it, then do it!

Great quality and easy to use
I have used clay in the past and decided to give Meguiar's C-2000 a shot this time around based on the positive reviews I read. I am happy I did! The results are spectacular. If this is your first time make sure you do some research and understand the process. This is what I did... washed the car thoroughly with Dawn dish washing liquid (this step should rarely be done and only if you want to strip off the wax), Based on the recommendations I read here I decided to use Meguiar's Final Inspection as the lubricant although in the past I've used water in a spray bottle. The clay-bar itself is quite small but it's more than enough for three cars. I only used a third of it and could have properly used it on another car if I wanted. I recommend using surgical gloves if you can for grip (this way the clay never slides out of your hand) and remember to work the clay into a flat surface. Keep it simple and work in small areas, I recommend no more than two square feet at time. Spray both the car surface and the clay, without pressing down hard just glide the clay and trust me you'll be amazed at what it picks up! Inspect the clay often and take the time pick out any large stuff it pulled out - clean it best you can. Before moving on to a new section of your car stop and work the clay into a clean section. This is the most important step, so ensure you take your time. Use quality cloths (same as you would for removing wax) to remove the lubricant your using. I used Meguari's Microfiber and they work really well. If you drop the clay throw it away and use a new piece. I did my entire car (infiniti FX37) twice in about two hours and this was taking my time. At this point some people wash the car again to remove the lubricant spray. I did not think this step was necessary so I waxed the car immediately. The end result was impressive so say the least compared to my previous experiences with other clay bars. If you do your homework and take your time you'll be amazed at the results you'll get with this product.

which was good because I did inadvertently dropped 3 of the sections ...
I made the mistake of claying my car in 90 degree weather, in direct sunlight, which left a clay haze (actually melted clay residue) all over my car. This took a couple hours to correct by spraying detail spray and wiping every square centimeter of the body panel. This also made the clay bar start to disintegrate in my hand, but again, completely my fault. I learned my lesson and will only clay a car that doesn't have hot body panels and is parked in the shade. The bar was big enough to cut into 4 sections, which was good because I did inadvertently dropped 3 of the sections on the ground while working. Once you drop a clay bar on the ground, you need to throw it in the garbage so that you don't drag ground debris (rocks, dirt, etc) across the paint. Again, user error played a part in this because the panels were so hot, the bar would grab as I was rubbing it across the panel and it would slip out of my hand. Aside from all of the mishaps, whose fault rested completely on my shoulders, the product was great. As far as the end result, my paint and glass was left so incredibly smooth that it was like baby's skin. I was so impressed with how well this clay bar took every imperfection out of the paint surface. I used diluted ONR, OPT Optimum (NR2010Q) No Rinse Wash & Shine - 32 oz. as a clay lubricant. After claying the car, I followed that up with a paint sealant on every inch of the exterior (glass and lights included, but not wheels), using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 in the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Combo 3.0 and the shine was beyond words. See for yourself in the attached pictures. I plan on claying my car about once a year and would use this clay bar again...with all my lessons learned the hard way.

Olá, desculpe não estar satisfeito, a claybar risca o verniz da pintura do carro, obviamente fiquei super insatisfeito, principalmente para produto que custa 40€
