Excellent purcase
This hot glue gun is awesome, and works exactly as I expected. It's a lot more heavy duty than my old mini glue gun, and works well where my old one didn't.

Good
Like it a lot, but why no light indicating it's on? Or is this not a normal glue gun feature since it needs to be plugged in?

Very useful Glue Gun but not to be used for intricate ...
Never used 1 of these before but as I was venturing into more projects I thought I'd try it out. Used it to glue many things including a broom handle into a broom head, plastic card sheets together to make a bespoke box, hold a loose helping hands magnifying glass securely in its frame, a temporary gutter end till I purchased a new 1, and even stuck a home made propeller to a garage wall. Also I used it to seal gaps in the garage prefabricated walls, so very handy tool. Very useful Glue Gun but not to be used for intricate gluing as it delivers to much glue and leaves a 'spiders web' after you release the trigger so can be a bit messy. After a few jobs you get to be able to use this without delivering to much glue. I did break off the stand from the gun as its very flimsy so made a gun holder which is far better. Overall I like it and will probably use it often.

A great heavy duty glue gun from a brand you can trust, Good value
A must have for any DIYer! This Stanley heavy duty glue gun may not seem premium but believe me it's worth it.It heats up fast, and produces a steady stream of hot glue. This glue gun has two modes. A low and a high. A low temperature should be used on lighter materials while the high temperature setting should be used on heavier materials such as metals. The trigger works well and doesn't jam. The lead is long enough. If this review was in any way helpful, I would truly appreciate a vote:)

Poor quality - Dangerous
I was badly burned by this glue gun. The first time I used it I squeezed the trigger and the bosses was blocked so hot glue shot out the back of the 'gun', over my hand and thigh. I suffered a deep burn and I am now scarred.I reported the fault immediately to Amazon who said they would issue a refund on return. I have not returned the product as I need to keep it as proof.I have emailed Stanley directly with my complaint but I've heard nothing.I will be seeking compensation now I know my thigh is permanently scarred.

Persistent fault
I've had two of these break on me on the span of a year... the rubber Guard that guides the glue stick after the yellow grip has failed on me both times on each glue gun... this causes the insides to fill up with glue and the trigger to stick and then a whole bloody mess...It has always been kept upright throughout its entire life, used on a daily basis.

Great glue gun
My father in law waxed lyrical about the virtues of this gun which prompted me to buy one. I’ve no idea what I did before owning this, it’s uses know no bounds. Heats up quickly and is simple to use. Make sure you buy a quality brand of glue sticks.
