I have been painting with watercolors for quite a few years and have been needing to get a pallet that is more lightfast than my go to. This one not only fits the bill, but dries very well without a chalky residue that pallets in the same price range get! I would absolutely recommend this as an intermediate/ student level palette!

I've been using student grade watercolors for about 2 years now and I finally decided to promote to artist grade watercolors. Of course, I'm going to keep using these until I have enough money to graduate into the very expensive watercolors. :) I never expected artist quality paints to be so smooth and nice :D my student grade watercolors were grainy and horrible compared to these. I would totally buy from this seller (ImageAbillity) again. Came a week earlier than the estimated delivery date! Actually, it came in 2 DAYS after I purchased it!! Very happy customer if I do say so myself :)

These ARE different than western watercolors but are much more opaque! The colors do well in mixing (for mine I mixed a bit of these watercolors for the peach with the Kuretake Gold WaterColor available on the Gem set)! But everything else is purely the 12 color set. I am so happy with these and the vividness of each color. :)

These watercolors are awesome! They are brightly colored and lay in fantastic on watercolor sketchbooks and thicker card stock paper. The lovely green box the paints are stored in make for a cute addition among st generic packing. The watercolors can be thinned downed with water for a wash effect or thickened with several strokes for a more opaque look.

The operative word here is creamy. Colors are bright, creamy, creamy and creamy. I love using these watercolors. The cakes can be removed etc. its a pleasant painting experience.

The product packaging I feel is brilliant, the names written individually in the pack, the separate colour cubes for ease of work. It's a no-nonsense packaging with maximum functionality.The pigment quality is so rich. Very little goes a long way. Colour saturation is softer than the Windsor and newton colours which are very bright and saturated. Not complaining about Windsor and Newton they are awesome as well, just giving you a comparison. I wanted muted colour palette and Ganzai Tambi is one.It was intimidating to get one set as am not a watercolour expert, but I think was a wise decision made.A good quality colour actually does make a lot of difference in your flow of work as well and helps you gain confidence.All in all, I am happy!
