KONG Terrain Retractable Dog Leash, Small, Black, 5m Tape

Bought to replace my last kong lead which I lost after using for four years. Very robust lead and nicely made. Good retractable action and comfortable to hold. Have found that the button to stop and release a bit stiff and not as easy to use as the old one.

I’ve been using the KONG Terrain Retractable Dog Leash for a few months now, and it’s easily the best leash I’ve ever owned. The build quality is outstanding—super durable and clearly designed for active dogs. The retractable mechanism is smooth and never jams, even with daily use. I love the comfortable grip; it makes long walks so much easier on the hands. My dog has plenty of freedom to explore, but I still feel completely in control. Good quality as expected from Kong, although they could do to review the lock feature as it has on the odd occasion not locked and doggie runs off quick on a long leash! Don’t trust therefore near roads/crossings, use my other hand to keep hold of the lead further down as well as lock on be careful!

The lead broke in less that 14 weeks.

Absolutely fantastic. I've only got a small dog. And this lead is so super strong. I have to say it's the best lead I've ever had. And the added bonus was the price. Great stuff.

5 mt great for our poodle puppy and it's strong and reflective as well The only thing is it's not wide enough and tangle up easily around trees etc. my husband doesn't use it all the time now.

Great retractable lead, smooth, quiet and easy to use.

I’ve been using this leash for the majority of my first dog’s life and planned to use it on our new puppy too. It feels good in my hand and the locking feature is intuitive, especially after using it for 13+ years. We had to buy a second one on amazon since they don’t sell these exact ones locally anymore. My puppy was still in his teething phase when we first introduced him to the old leash so it was almost chewed through. If you have a chewer that likes to protest being on a leash, I wouldn’t recommend this since it doesn’t hold up to abuse well. But it handles my 18-20 pound dogs just fine when used properly This is the only leash I will use due to its comfort and controls. I’m expecting this leash to last for at least another ten years if there are no chewing incidents so I hope kong doesn’t stop making these The only thing I have a minor issue with is that drops on concrete will result in nicks and scratches but that is understandable considering it’s being dropped on concrete and it’s made of a material that’s sturdy but comfortable in your hand
